  1. I'll look into it, thank you! Sounds like a good option, how is the odor of the paints when spraying?
  2. So today I pulled the trigger and bought the Paasche H Single Action Airbrush kit. I've read a lot of good reviews on this brush and it seems that as long as I take care of it properly I should be in the clear! I do have a few questions as a newbie to airbrushing. I have a portable booth I made using a bilge blower and while it works great for over spray, fumes from the spray cans stunk up the room even with the window open. How are the fumes from an airbrush compare to spray cans? Will the water based paints have less odor? I would love to be able to paint indoors without odors. Hoping this will solve my problem for rainy day and the winter months. Also I try to stay clear of harbor freight for most of the time depending on the purchase, but I've heard that they actually have a decent air compressor for an airbrush that is very reasonably priced. have any of you used it before? If so, how has it been treating you? Thanks guys! - Steve
  3. I had a similar problem finding it as well at first, then like most things I cant find in stores I ordered it off Amazon!
  4. Thank you guys, I'll try straightening it out first, if that doesn't solve the issue ( I hope it does ) then out comes the motor. No fun, but I guess there's really no other choice!
  5. So, I started my next project, a 1940 Ford Pickup. Everything was going pretty smooth before I decided to test fit the radiator. On one side it fits perfect. On the other side the generator is in the way. Unfortunately I already permanently mounted the motor in as well as the fan assembly (with loctite superglue, super strong very fast drying). Is there anyway around this? Or do I have to try and take the fan assembly off and re locate the generator. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated! Also happy fathers day to all the modeling fathers out there!
  6. This thing is so sweet! Great work!
  7. Nice, I found it strange how it was like that but wasn't sure if it was just my kit! I ended up going into my parts box and found some headers that fit so I'll use those and attach it to some aluminum tubing and make a side exit right behind the door.
  8. Beautiful car Steve!
  9. Definitely giving this a try soon!

Thank you! I have a sheet and tried it and let's just say I need more practice with it hahaha maybe one day once I'm good with BMF I can go back and apply it. I have some spare body's I'm going to practice on. Sweet! Can't wait to see it posted up here!

    1969 Camaro

Thanks! I actually did try the decals at first, didn't have any microsol (or even know about it) so it didn't form to the curves good at all and actually ripped quite easy so I opted out for this build.

Hey everyone! Here is my 1969 Revell Camaro, still new to modeling but I learned a lot with this build and appreciate all the help and advice people from this forum have given me. I am overall happy with the way it came out but I do wish I did something's a bit different. Anyways here it is, I hope you all enjoy! Thank you for looking -Steve

  20. Great , I'll give this a shot tomorrow! Thank you!! -Steve
  21. I am just having a very difficult time with this. Being new to modeling doesn't make this any easier hahaha but I really would like for this to come out good since I've come so far on this model. I even tried to BMF the window trim and that was a pretty big mess to say the least!
  22. Any recommendations on a very fine detail brush set to purchase?
  23. So sweet! Nice build
  24. Thank you very much! I am no model expert, but to me this is a pretty good kit. I personally had some trouble with the hood at one point, but was able to get everything to sit flush. Hopefully I will be able to see some pictures of yours on here! Best of luck with it!
