Hey all! Just finished up the Tamiya Morris Mini Cooper today! This is my 5th build and I learned so much on this build and I can not wait to build another. This kit is box stock other than spark plug wires, aluminum exhaust tip (I extended it for a blast pipe style look) and interior flocking. For the "carpet" I used embossing powder for the first time and it worked great! For the body I actually used the LMG polishing kit on the factory plastic mold color and was very impressed on how the outcome was after wet sanding, and finished it off with some rubbing compound and wax. There was definitely a noticeable difference in the finish. Also I decided not to glue the roof on so I can always remove it to show off the interior and then put the top back on. I am almost finished with a Camaro so that will be up here soon enough as well. Hope you all enjoy, Thank you for looking!
Not sure why the wheel looks so crooked, but it's really not that bad at all in person! Hahaha
Shot of the engine before the interior was added. Some small engine parts were added after this picture as well but hard to see once the hood is open
Thanks again for looking!
