What size led,s to use as markerlights?
cowboy rich replied to PierreR89's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
If you don't already have a source for your LED's this place has a large selection and they come with various resistors -
I've only flocked one truck so far so I can't give a big view of what's out there but I had pretty good luck with the stuff from model car garage.

Google rc Dave Pete 359 rc modelcarsmag.com should give you an idea of what to use and how to run the wiring. I looked for it thru the search here with no luck but came right up with google. Very impressive build that should be helpful sorry I can't just give you a link, working from a phone that refuses to do it. -

I've had to do it before and I ended up at 12000 grit (yes 3 zeros) to get it clean and clear again.

I like your idea, my internet is being cranky so I can't look anything up very easy but I know double take replicas has the air cleaners(tanks on hood) and moluminum has some fenders you maybe able to modify. They may have the headache rack also(back rack) but if not there may be some available for trade as there have been some in other kits. This one is from the can-do wrecker kit. Apologizing in advance if this double posts.

That's looking really nice Brian, I wasn't aware anyone made parts out of fiberglass. I find it a pain in the 1:1 world probably wouldn't ever take it on in scale. -

Ok folks I need a little help. I'm trying to detail this 3408 but can't figure out where the fuel line to and from the injection pump should go? Pic 1 is Ken Smiths write up 2 & 3 is where I'm wondering if it goes. Unfortunately I don't have a 3408 at my disposal.(want to however). Thanks for any help. -

Looks like the sleeper boot turned out good, if you google truck sleeper boot it will pull up a bunch of different styles for future use. Looks like your flocking turned out really nice to bad you have the repair to do now. The liquid electrical tape is something I would have never thought of great idea, was actually trying to figure out how to con my wife into making me some for my 1/16 Pete, this appears to be much easier. -
how to build a roll deck
cowboy rich replied to Rudy2013's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
What kind of roll off, like a tow truck or like the kind used for trash/scrap bins? For the tow style maybe try looking up chevron or jerrdann(sp?). As they are both manufactures of such equipment. For the other style I maybe able to get some pictures of one next week when I should be back on day shift if it would help. Rich -
Mack Superliner Rebuild
cowboy rich replied to Conway1979's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
All of the non integrated sleepers I've seen have had a rubber seal to allow the cab and sleeper to move independently. Nice job you're doing by the way. -

Well I hope to have some work done this weekend, works been a bit crazy, so no real update just making sure I get my monthly post in. -
I haven't heard anything but would love to see it re-released, I'll have to look around a little more.
