Okay, you win. She's haunted (or perhaps reincarnated as) your computer, then.

Maybe someone is using her old computer. My wife has a FB account, I never have. She hasn't been on FB through this computer in about two years (she uses her phone now). We have separate user accounts/logins on this computer. We can't see each others' emails, favorites lists, etc. But if/when someone posts a FB link, I can click on it, and it shows right up and shows me logged in as my wife.

Scratchbuilding a Hurst (-ish) Shifter

You can see the pics here: http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Snake45/library/Model Cars/Details?sort=3&page=1 Pics of the finished shifter in the '65 Chevelle wagon here: http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Snake45/library/Model Cars/Chevelles?sort=3&page=1 I'm not logged in to PB and I can see them so anyone should be able to. -
Different and interesting!

Very, VERY nice! I just finished the snap version and can relate to everything you said. Mine was molded in a pearly red and looks nice but pales (literally) next to your pre-painted (and the pre-painted Revell 2013). Getting the windows in was the hardest part--one of the hardest modeling jobs I've done recently, in fact. They just DID NOT want to go in. I was just about to give up and cut the side windows off when I gave it one last try and they finally snapped into place. I wish I had hit the lower edge of the side glass with a black Sharpie because I've now got a bright "fiber optic" line at the bottom of the side windows. Yours looks great. Well done and model on!

Different and interesting! Great color--what's the paint?

Got about 8 inches of "spring" on my back porch, and they're calling for more tonight. Luckily I had one more day of "carryover" vacation from last year I have to use before the end of the quarter (next Friday). Was gonna take next Monday off, but tomorrow works even better. And I've got a '53 Vette project teed up I might be able to kick through the goal posts with about one good day's work on it.

Have to look for some of those--I haven't seen them. I have the '65 Mustang and it's not too bad at all, but I prefer the M2 version. Same with their '69 Camaro--not bad but M2's is better. Their '67 Shelby is pretty good, and I don't think anyone else does one. I saw their Nova and did NOT like it. Great Superbird!

Found the pic on my hard drive. A is a drawing based on a number of photos of C-cabs I studied. B is a tracing of the Fruit Wagon cab sides. C shows what needs to be removed from B to get A. The scale is inches and lets you print it out at correct size. Hope this helps.

Here's the '69 annual built with the "gasser" or "funny car" parts. Is this about the same thing as the '69 Funny Car kit?

Yeah, nice save on the Camaro. Welcome to the site!

Scratchbuilding a Hurst (-ish) Shifter
Snake45 replied to Snake45's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
But this isn't the Resin section, or the Links & Websites section, this is the Tips/Tricks/Tutorials section, where I showed how anyone can make their own. -
Right. But it can be modified to work. I know the "meat" to do it is there, because I did drawings a couple years ago. Don't remember if I scanned them or not, maybe I did.

Wow. Like my Old Dad used to say, "You learn something new every day if you're not careful."

Not to me. -
Very very nice indeed!

The AMT '25T Fruit Wagon--in recent issue and recently closed at at Ollie's at $8 a shot--has a body that would work for that. You could modify the top to that shape, too. As a matter of fact, that kit would provide the frame and suspension, too. Is that engine supposed to be a 348/409? You'll need one of those, and then some whitewall tires and you're good to go.

Or, better yet, a Falcon front clip on a '66-67 Fairlane hardtop body.

AMT Buick Oldsmobile Pontiac Reissues
Snake45 replied to regular guy's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Beautiful paint on that thing, anyway.... -
I do believe the two shared roof sheetmetal. You'd have to add all the post framing all around, though--AMT cleaned all of that out on the MS, making it a hardtop.
-
They did the '69 Falcon as a funny car? The only Falcon funny I've ever seen was the AMT first-gen funny '64-'65 body. I got one of the MS '69 Falcons just to see what was in the box. I think I could get it as far as a semi-stock version; if not, I'll do it as a custom. I have an original '69 Falcon kit and could pirate the custom parts from that. I also had the idea of converting it to a phantom "performance" version. Sort of the same sort of thing Chevy did with the '68-'72 Novas. After the success of the Mustang, Ford let hi-po, high-profile versions of the Falcon slip by the wayside. They had nothing comparable to a '69 Nova SS, particularly one with a 396 in it. If you wanted a hi-po Ford at that time, you had to get a Mustang or move up to the Fairlane/Torino/Cobra.

Best Way to Store Molotow Pens?

Tip up it is! If need be, I'll soak the tip in alcohol when the time comes. Thanks all!
