  1. Super clean build so far, looks good, great paint
  2. Nice clean build, very realistic Have been eyeing up a neighbours's red MRkI as possible first car for my son.....fixer upper mind you your model looks better!!!
  3. Those are both beauties Curtis...what kits are they??
  4. Good advice, something I do with every kit I buy....it has some meaning or connection for me Hi Skip
  5. Awesome !!! Great job bringing that to life
  6. I am sure the coyote is underneath that
  7. Looks great Gotta dirty up those dune buggy wheels!!!
  8. Thanks for that link, have it bookmarked, that engine is gorgeous. Sorry to deviate your thread, Sean, I will shut up now
  9. Really coming together nicely, great work!!!
  10. Oh please, post away some pics...you are welcome to do it here if you don't want to start a thread Like to see what you have and we need more large scale builds
  11. Yep, I was just gonna say Rep&Min or HRM. Same thing sorta. Its funny, I've seen those engine kits go for like $100 were as HRM is asking less then 1/2 that. Give him a call, totally cool to deal with, him and Norm. I see on E Bay the Revival of Italy 1/20 250 motors in the $50 range...I have dealt with them before for a Bugatti kit, they make nice stuff in plastic and metal combo. what is HRM??? I can't find a reference for it
  12. I think my wife appreciates, on some level, this hobby of mine. I am every bit a family man, have few vices and she understands my hobbies insulate me from the work stress. I joke a lot about her when in reality she makes sure the credit card charge is valid, harrumphs a bit and moves on Dont worry Cato, you are safe absolutely agree. I will get the other Cd's corresponding to my cars as well
  13. Cool project, right up my alley will follow along You did a fine job on the TR engine details and paintwork on both Too bad for the 250 engine, it is a beautiful one for sure...maybe find one on E-Bay???
  14. Continued self indulgent posting of the Pocher collection. Next up the F 40 and its engine kit I purchased it assembled but it had an accident and obvious fall. I refurbished it a bit, but it needs a tear down, new paint, fix body panels and breakage of front clip Even so, she displays nicely in my office. All three Pocher engine kits, to be made and displayed alongside their model. I will have to get a separate Alfa Romeo engine as it is not done in this kit form...that is weird as the Alfa is the most beautiful engine of all of them. They are pricey on E bay
  15. I know it isn't a fair question, but what do you have a favorite Cobra???
  16. Awesome classic car built to perfection Nice job!!!
  17. Just done that last weekend with my family so I feel your pain. I packed and moved all my model and hobby stuff myself...including woodworking equipment just so no problems. Hang in there
  18. It definitely has a more rubbery, latex surface texture to it than other acrylics I have used. I am sure that sanding it would tear chunks out like crazy, especially on multiple coats. I got my little set as a gift and will use it sparingly, mostly those colours that go down well It certainly is not a cheap for such poor performance
  19. Good luck, I am hating that MC silver I tried
  20. I am a Tamiya fine primer user in rattle can...haven't really brush primed before, other than say white to make a color pop
  21. Ok, you made me crack open a few bottles and test them out. I got a 16 Model Color pack for Father's Day this year but have a Citadel set that I am using for brush work since beginning of spring...and like a lot for consistency and coverage. The white and lemon yellow MC's both are a bit on the milky side. Yellow is always a bit of a B to paint and for sure I would prime white and do multiple thin layers to get coverage. I would normally prime white, grey or black depending what I am doing. I tried purple, red, orange, black and the azure blue(sky); all flow nicely and cover well. The silver covers poorly when I tested a spot repair on an engine, will stick to Tamiya flat aluminum Some colors are definitely better than others, thanks for the heads up Scott
  22. You are not the only one. I have avoided that primer and stick with Tamiya rattle cans and mostly airbrush Tamiya as well Have some model color for brushing, but have not used it much If I may refer you, lots guys avoid Vallejo for reasons they discuss. IMHO it ain't worth the $ for all its problems http://www.intscalemodeller.com/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=13961 http://www.intscalemodeller.com/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=13989
  23. My eyes hurt, please make it stop
