  1. Salt potatoes are a regional favorite in Upstate New York, specifically around the Syracuse area. They are friggin' DEEE-LICIOUS!
  2. That's the ticket. Nothing beats the convenience of a cordless tool. I have a regular tool with a flex shaft which I use when the Dremel Micro is charging. I hang it from a cup hook screwed into the desk
  3. Looking good, Mike. I've got the can lights and sirens from the Johan Police Pursuit kit which I'll never use. If you might need those for a future project, let me know.
  4. Roger Corman made a mint selling the rights to the title, but not the storyline, to the producers of the 2001 movie.
  5. It was an open box with the parts in what looked like a taped bag. At least he will "seemingly" check it.
  6. Roger Corman's "The Fast and Furious", starring John Ireland and Dorothy Malone is on TCM right now. Lots of vintage racing machines to be seen.
  7. Not a parts seller; but, the guy listed a fairly expensive kit as "seemingly complete". I contacted him and suggested that, since there is an instruction sheet, he could check off what's in the box against the instructions because it would make it easier for a potential buyer to decide to purchase it. Here's his reply: ’ll open the bag and see when I get home. I appreciate the insight, honestly. Need more guys like this.
  8. 'At's a matta, 'at's a matta. hey! 'At's a matta for you!
  9. Not to brag...well, yeah, I am , but my homemade pasta sauce and meatballs get get thumbs up from my Italian neighbors in the building. All of them say they taste just like what they ate at home. It's all about the garlic. I also get requests for my Whiting Grotta Azzurra with linguine and prosciutto balls.
  10. Newerkits?!? Round2 relabeled all of the better quality Lindberg releases (the '64 Dodges, Belvederes, both '53 Fords, '66 Chevelle, '61 Impalas) as AMT. So much for keeping a classic brand alive. BTW, I got a convoluted response from Round 2 regarding this on its FB page. Verbose, vague and completely avoided answering my question.
  11. I'd rather get some of that yardbird.
  12. Hey, It's got Instant Breakfast beat by a mile. Personally, I keep Drambuie around for the occasional Irish Coffee in the A.M. and Brugal Rum for a rum and coke when the mood hits me. Tonight's dinner was sliced up leftover pot roast with gemelli pasta and gravy. My kid and I were meatballed out. I made 48 meatballs and homemade sauce last week and there was no way we were gonna chow down on them every day. Jarred about 40 and stuck them in the fridge. Meatball heroes next week to take with us to Rockaway Beach.
  13. Solid, Tulio. One should expect nothing less than perfect from you. One of the best designed kits by any manufacturer.
  14. Those are great for washing down breakfast, especially pancakes.
  15. Yeah, FB is good for that. AN old friend from the neighborhood, Phil Hughes, moved to Ct. when he was 16, enlisted in the Navy and retired to........Idaho! He never got used to the sidewalks getting rolled up when the street lights go on. He's living in McKinney, Tx. presently. He thought about moving back to The Pernt; but, he said he couldn't afford it now. What he'd pay in rent for a two bedroom apartment here is five times more than the mortgage on his house. Geez, even crummy aluminum-sided two family frame houses are going for over a million bucks.
  16. You can get into trouble with that method. You can use a worn out toothbrush and gently scrub the panel lines under cold running water. The residue will come off easily.
  17. Nice bit of territory you and the gang had.
  18. Artistic license. Just like the stuff pictured in the Johnson Smith ads inside the front cover of the same comic this was in.
  19. It all comes down to supply and demand.
  20. Gumby made the ultimate sacrifice for the advancement of hijinks and fun. A true hero.
  21. The use of "131", the only operational Tiger tank in the world, marked the first time that a working tank of this type was used in a movie since some surviving Tigers were used in the 1950 British film, "THEY WERE NOT DIVIDED". This movie features a number of captured German equipment. Can't get more authentic than that.
  22. Black and Gaugin Red are my favorite colors for this car. You nailed the black down perfectly.
  23. Great looking, Johnny. Love them two-tone Tri-Fives.
  24. Speaking of Gumby.....................
