  1. Most esteemed dudes, you're unfairly jumping on Mark. His only other posts remotely related to this thread was about recommendations for a desktop milling machine. He made one passing reference to machining engine parts for his models and never asked anything about where can he find information as to how it is done.
  2. How does the Ford GT kit look to you?
  3. There you go, problem solved. The folks at Plaza Japan will take care of this.
  4. Just go to the Plaza Japan website. Your email address is required on the "Contact Us" page: Contact Us
  5. Nice selection there, Kevin.
  6. According to a post in Missing-Lynx, I❤️Kit, a Trumpeter offshoot, is supposedly going to release a 1/35 scale M65.
  7. There were two which opened in Brooklyn in 2017; one on Flatbush Avenue Extension in Downtown, and another on Fulton Street in the neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant. Unfortunately, both closed late last year. Too bad, the food was really good.
  8. Great idea, Greg. I make D-rings in a similar manner. A suggestion regarding flattening them. Instead of using a file, get yourself a 4" diamond sharpener. Place the bezels on the sharpener and, applying finger pressure, move them back and forth. In addition to getting a smooth, flat surface, the wire will be polished. Plus, you can use the sharpener to resharpen your used hobby blades.
  9. That will be a temporary remedy. Go back to what Bill said about resin quality. That frame will exhibit warping and deformation in other locations in the future.

  11. Depending, as you have pointed out, on the quality of the resin, 91% rubbing alcohol can have an effect on said resin. I needed to strip acrylic paint from MIG Productions Scale Thickness Hull Plates. I brushed on 91% IPA, waited until the paint started lifting and noticed that the resin became a rubbery mess and stayed that way. A lesson that cost me $100. Test first.
  12. Nice products and equally nice people to deal with.
  13. ScaleHobbyist has the entire Metalizer line in stock.
  14. Vallejo 70520/26651/26518/69702 Matt Varnishes produce a dead flat finish when airbrushed.
  15. If it's neat, it's because: A. The other half couldn't stand looking it and decided to surprise you B. The other half exacting revenge for some as of yet unknown transgression on your part C. It was the result of mass looting by pets exacting revenge for some as of yet unknown transgression on your part D. Ennui E. You are about to start on that new kit you've been waiting for and need room to make a total wreck of the workspace once you dump the contents out
  16. Cats can be a literal pet peeve when it comes to model building; mine is when he decides to hijack an entire PE fret and mutilate it beyond recognition. So, technically, this thread is still on track.
  17. That's not Fmeep. It must be a relative. I snagged the photo from an entertaining article about cats: Compelling new evidence that your cat might eat your corpse
  18. I dunno, Steve. I'd check with the owner on this.
  19. Roaming, no. More like lying in ambush. We're just training aids.
  20. Fmeep is uniquely un-catlike. He eats onions, sriracha sauce, blue Stilton cheese, garlic dill pickles, chocolate and actually enjoys baths. We stopped letting him play Monopoly with us because he cheats.
  21. You answered your own question. I made my observation based on what I saw in the first two links you posted.
  22. Two different companies. Items produced by one are not identical to the other.
