I use a place local to me that has dolls house stuff. This looks like it may be a similar store in the usa https://www.northeasternscalelumber.com/ -
Pre war centre hood hinges
stitchdup replied to stitchdup's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
That makes perfect sense, I think I have some tube that might work as the 36 has a decent size rib on the hood that i can trim away for the tube. and my sisters a paramedic so i might be able to get some canulas or needle tubes. thanks -
sentance is a dual meaning word

Hi Guys, I've discovered I have an extra hood for the monogram 36 coupe I'm building and since i have a spare I'd like to try and hinge the centre. Any hints or suggestions of how to do this would be appreciated. If it goes well I intend to hinge the hood sides too but will make that decision after doing the top as I only have the 2 sides so as to reduce the risk of wrecing them

Street Outlaws Endgame

Its just like other shows, the parts will be built up to check fit, then refitted for film when they know it works. Look at axmens car he built, its been lying at the end of the drive for years but the wheels are shiny and still roll. same with kye's car being conveniently forgotten til the end of the show. Personally the end game show could be cut down to an hour and be more entertaining. I actually stopped watching ryans build as it was almost as boring as watching paint dry. hopefully murder novas donk will be a fun watch. and why doesn't JJ have a chat or game show yet? he'd be a pretty good host imo -

Of course we have all heard the phrase dont take a knife to a gun fight, but in poland during the 16th centuary, 5000 swordsmen defeated a combined swedish and russian force of over 25000 guns with swords

its on air ride, when its pumped up the wheels sit a bit squarer in the arches. Some have custom suspensions built to allow them to run with all the camber on full drop but they are mostly built in japan where the roads are much better than ours.

just doing the panels would work for me, and it might mean it will fit both the tamiya and revell kits
-
I'd have one

i was expecting glitter and scents, how disappointing, lol
-
This one is available from numerous 3d print vendors. its for the tamiya bug but i'm sure a little trimming of the revell floor will get it fitting too

Boring, a small town in the usa is twinned with dull, a small town in scotland

I dont really mind any of the trends. I dont get why donks seem to have candy brand wraps but I enjoy seeing them race, butat the same time i wouldn't want to own one. Same goes with some of the ridiculously lifted trucks, but the engineering done to acheive the right look is nice to see on show. As long as folk are having fun with cars, it helps us all. Theres even classic tuners starting to appear at goodguys events and that can only be a good thing as it exposses other styles into the mix. It would be pretty boring if modified cars stopped at flathead 32s or pro street camaros, not that theres anything wrong with them. The cars myself and my peers could afford were cheap front wheel drive hatchbacks but it didn't stop us modifying them. Sure none of the "mods (lol)" I'd do now and I'd try to guide kids in a safer way (saving time cutting down the front springs by simply cutting one in half, first bump they fell out, lol) but thats half the fun of playing with cars, we all start somewhere and I'm sure dave kindig and chip foose have some embarassing mods in their history. We dont have to like everything people build but surely we can like that they like cars too?

That pretty cool, to me it looks like a dodge someone has turned into a euro sports car. The proportions of your build work well together and have given me an idea for somethign similar, thankyou -
its probably the fine grain of the printing confusing our senses, its like we're feeling our finger prints due to the grain on the part being similar sized to our finger prints and our brains just dont know how to deal with it,

I've had part that had a rubbery texture, but after washing them they seemed ok. These parts were firm to hold but felt rubbery, they werent pliable like rubber. I hope that makes sense

Thats a cool looking building, do you know what the roof is? it has a slightly natural material look to it

I got taken for a run in this old foden steamer truck. I've only seen them on youtube videos previously and i was surprised at how fast it was. It easily hit 60mph. Not a lot of space in the cab due to the boiler and massive flywheels, and it would be extremely easy to lose all your fingers from one hand as the gap between the steering and flywheel was only 2 inches. The owner said you only get it wrong once
