  1. Ed Fluck does a lot of traditional style parts and bodies. Theres a thread on here with his contact ( ) details and his parts are very nice For more modern type parts try iceman collections on ebay, he has engines, chassis and suspension parts
  2. Very cool, it suits the slamm job
  3. Thats pretty wild, looking forward to seeing it built
  4. Very slick looking build, I'll be using it for reference when i get to mine
  5. recent arrivals, I've had the audi on pre order for months so am happy its now here. I'll be building it as the road car version probably. I've got a heap of the tamiya bugs but this is my first of the recent revell bugs. The italeri bug is decent enough but the wheels look awful so I might strip them and paint them to use on a rod
  6. https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/diolexproduction?_trkparms=folent%3Adiolexproduction|folenttp%3A1&_trksid=p3542580.m47492.l74602
  7. try diolex production on ebay, I got some resin ones from there for a vw project
  8. Thanks for the link, I guess I learned someting today
  9. The number plate looks like a fake, the year letter makes it registered in 2001 and I'm pretty sure they were all dust by then
  10. I've got a 1/24 scirocco race car I'm planning to mix with a revell mk1 golf so I can have a 1/24 version. About all I'll be using from the scirocco is the body and glass though, the rest is way too much like a toy
  11. I can help you with the wheels without caps. I've got a heap of the tamiya bug wheels left over.
  12. I've used them and hlj quite often. The people that had long wait times most likely had some items that were backordered/arriving soon or had items in their personal warehouse (this is where items ordered but not in stock are stored after paying while they wait for the other items to come into stock, so if you dont check the box they will hold orders until the entire order can be sent) and didn't tick the box to say send now. Its easy to overlook the box as its light blue/grey on a white background. They are good if you want Japanese kits as you can save about a third or more on the retail price (not on euro or usa kits) and really for kits coming from halfway round the planet shipping isn't too bad. Another place worth looking into is bna modelworld in Australia, good prices (check the exchange rates first but my last order was near $2aus to the £) and cheap fast shipping with a lot of aftermarket stuff that is discontinued and out of stock elsewhere and their first language is english
  13. I decided the roof looked too long so I've made it into more of a coupe. I also found a cadillac engine (currently in stripper) that I think I'll use instead of the chevy. I think I'll add some more plastic to the rear fender so I can add el matador style scoops as the hard edge isn't really working with the curves of the rest of the body
  14. I've not seen any like that but you might be able to cut down a couple of bubblegum lights from a cop car or something,
  15. theres 3 different electric motors pictured here, http://www.currentracing.co.uk/
  16. Since none of my vws have been working out for me I thought try a change of pace and pulled out a long stalled build. I'll be using the engine out of the 39 chevy coupe kit with the flamed car on the box as a lot of the chevy 6 parts have been stolen for other stuff. Theres no real plan other than to finish it but the colour will probably be one from hok. The body is pretty close to done but there is no interior whatsoever so I'll probably try and modify one of Ed Flucks t'n'r interiors from a 50s ford.
  17. Gorilla glue gel, worst glue I've ever used. It wrecked the paint on my 57 bug and somehow wrecked the paint and glass on my ladder truck too even though I didn't use it on the truck. I'm starting to wonder why I bother building models now, nothing has gone right in the last 6 months and I havent managed to finish anything. It seems to be one step forward, get kicked in the goolies and have to start the whole thing again. I thought model building was supposed to be relaxing
  18. I gotta follow this, your buddy did a nice job planning this
  19. Cool, If you need another hood for the interior I have loads of spares, and most of the old revell bugs have the early style fuchs wheels
  20. For front suspension I'd recomend motobitz mustang 2 types suspension sets, and they also do the best jag independant set I've seen(prob more 70s). I've got plenty of icemans engines and they are pretty nice but he also does pro touring frames for cars and trucks along with suspension parts. I think it could be an avenue for the model companies to explore though if they already have modern engines in other kits, sorta a modern take on the old 2 in 1 kits. For example theres a nice supercharged ls in the revent amt camaro (and they seem to pretty cheap on ebay) that I think is nicer than the one in revells corvette (it just looks undersized)
  21. I think there just the saloons Lee
  22. only america (maybe canada too) put the month first
