  1. it made me laugh, i didn't notice when i bought it, lol
  2. I got a big box of 3d printed stuff recently and a few more kits. various wheels, mostly for vws but theres some porsche and bmw ones too some golf bodykits, one is the pandem kit and the other is the cabrio clipper kit some alternative grilles and louvres for the revell mk1 golf i think this is might be the wrong name, lol various seats curbside vw variant mk2 scirocco mk1 vw jetta. Theres lots wrong with the body but I hope to make it better tempo matador, the first aircooled vw commercial vehicle and a bit of an oddity as its front wheel drive. I think I'll be doing a lot of mods to the chassis on this as the engine and suspension is pretty poor but I have loads of spare vw parts to sort it vw type 181/trekker/thing full kit early revell vw bus kit. I have a load of the 1/24 kits but this should fit my 1/25 better fendtt tractor and I got 3 more of the t2 vans and 2 campers there is a load of small parts too but its all extra like chain steering wheels, child seats and general clutter for dios
  3. I'm very close to getting the 5, i get my holiday pay at the start of next month so its a strong possibility. The screenshots of gt7 look great. In the late 90s I tested playstation internet on a net yaroze console connected to the internet through a modem. I still have all the kit and paperwork i was sent for that and it got me games up to 6 months before anyone else. That all happened cos i sent back the registration/guarentee slip for the console i bought
  4. The crew would have been fire trained or the boat would not have left germany, maritime and euro laws are pretty strict over here and not being trained in fires would get a ship detained until it complies with the law. if a ship has safety deficencies and docks in europe it gets detained, and it doesn't matter where the ship is registered. you could sail a ship thats safe in say bermuda to europe but if it doesn't meet the euro safety laws it will get detained. I guarentee fire training was current but not specialised in fighting lithium fires as they need special chemicals.
  5. the training for a fire on a ship is to abandon ship unless it is a small fire like a bin or something. On this ship since it has an enclosed deck and the type of fire there is nothing you can do safely as the fire can only be put out with specialist dry chemicals. all you can do is leave. I can guarentee everybody on the ship will do fire training at least every 2 weeks alternated with mob drills, and the fire suppresion system would not have been usuable if there are crew on the deck as they can put out an olympic swimming pool full of water every 5 seconds (at least on the ferries i work on). also to sail in europe requires a lot of safety stuff before they will let you into port and if you dont have it you cant sail until you do.
  6. I get inspiration from a variety of sources. Mostly its from the internet on a variety of sites. I find the various groups on flickr useful, and can find ones for everything from vintage hot rods all the way through to over done restos, as well as a lot of magazine photographers. I also follow a lot of blogs on tumblr and various online mags like noriyaro, moon, speedhunters and a load of others. And theres google images too, just search the car you want and you can use the pics/links to find the site the pics are from.
  7. I enjoy driving games but most of the time its playstation and gran tourismo for me. I'm really thinking about the ps5 since the new gran tourismo is out around now
  8. I've ordered from the parts box many times. Shipping wasn't too much more than getting stuff from british places and was pretty quick too. I'm in scotland but i dont think orders to the usa will be any different
  9. If the bleach doesn't work maybe white vinegar would work (might be slow as the aim is to corrode the chrome and copper away) or one of the more abrasive metal polishes could be used carefully to thin the coating down so it can be sanded off
  10. They fit them well and I believe there are kits available now for this purpose.
  11. If drivers around here are anything to go by, indicators/turn signals are an extra cost item
  12. iceman collections has various caddy caps
  13. Is that a chain link roll cage in the last pic?
  14. I got it on amazon, just type in nail striping tape and you should get hundreds of options. If the trim is pretty plain it might work, the trim with lots of fine detail probably wont.
  15. I wouldn't use it for shut lines, its a little thicker than bmf so probably wont sit down in them very well but a soft pencil (b or hb) run along the lines works and the excess wipes off the edges. I think the adhesive should be durable as its meant for finger nails and they take a lot of abuse. It also has the benefit of being designed for use under clear. I haven't tried it for trim or around corners but i think corners would work but again the thickness might make it unsuitable for trim, especially if it has fine details. On the plus side if you order from china you can get 25 rolls for about $3 with free shipping in various colours and metal patterns such as engine turned, delorean style stainless and a variety of other finishes
  16. ac/dc live
  17. The steering wheel looks like a grant wheel but since they are british I assume its another usa brand. The bumps on the springs look home made so maybe some sort of racing part or a traction bars to try to prevent the axle binding up the springs and I'd cut those long bolts down cos they are way too close to the brake lines for any spiritted driving
  18. theres a resin available but this is much nicer https://icemancollections.com/products/buick-215-rover-v8-baby-nailhead-engine?_pos=1&_sid=3b1315e85&_ss=r
  19. where would i find the serial numbers?
  20. have you looked at iceman collections website? He does a number of engines that might work for your merc,
  21. try bestmodelcarparts on ebay, its not decals but tiny photos and they do loads of us vehicles and some vws
