How does the zero turn steering work? seems like a bit of an oxymoron

Someone told me the best method for stripping resin is to wipe it down with thinners, not the quickest method but it works if you take your time. Just use the appropriate thinners for the paint used. I've used it on a qtip to strip some resin wheels, and I've used la's totally awesome cleaner for stuff that needs a soak. agin not the fastest but it works mostly, just very slow on mettalics

I've noticed JJ handles himself in a very humble manner. He knows how to play the games as wee've seen but when it comes to being challenged he sits on the start and waits for them. In a lot of ways him and Ryan Marting are pretty similar how they handle themselves. It's been pretty good too seeing how much respect there is between the racers instead of drama and I hope it continues in the same way, its kinda refreshing

I've got a bit of a longshot help request for our German members. I recently saw a tempo matador resin build but unfortunatelly all the details were in french. All I could decifer from it was it is cast by a gentleman in Germany so I'm hoping one of you might be know the person and be able to put me in contact with them. I'd really like to add one to my vw collection. I'm grateful for leads that may assist my quest. Thanks

I've currently got 7 tamiya bugs still in the box, but along with that I have 2 built and 3 in progress and I fully expect to buy more of them. I've also got 6 hasegawa and 6 revell split screen vans not counting the 2 in progress and again I'll buy more. Its the same story with the tamiya, fujimi and revell golfs, multiples of each, and 3 og esci mk2 escorts and 2 italeri versions and theres possibly a revell one in the stash too. Heller grey fergie tractors I only have 4 of though but I can see me getting more. The only us car kits I have multiples of are the amt 62 bel airs. All the vw kits will be built and they will all be different to each other but I have an idea to build each of the feature cars in hayburner vw magazine (it only costs postage and is well worth it for the 4 mags a year if you like custom vws) and I'll probably do the same with the golfs and other watercooled vws but from performance vw mag. I can even tell you what my next vws will be, since I've used up my t3s there will be at least 3 added to the stash.

I painted the van this morning. Right up until I picked up the can it was going to be white or black but for some unknown reason I knowingly picked up the gold pearl instead followed by hok brandywine. I guess this means the interior is going to be tan leather with a matching dash (onlt because I forgot to paint it and matching the body will be near impossible now. Not easy to get a good pic of the colour but it closer to the dark pic where you can see my attempts to block the flash after i gave up trying to figure out my camera, lol. I'm going to let it sit for a couple of days before I clear it but I hope to get a decent shine out of the can

If it evergreen strips ordinary poly cement bons pretty quick so you wouldn;t need to worry too much about bending it if its thin strips, Just hold it in place for a few minutes with clamps and within ten mins you can take them off. It doesn't seem to work with plastruct though so I would use super glue there if its not too tight and rought up both bonding surfaces first so it bonds better. Be sparing with both cos it can be a pain it it squishes out and wastes a lot of time

I only work one week (84 hours) in four including a couple days to get used to days again, I'm at the bench every day. I dont have a seperate model room, my living room is my model room and I got rid of my tv to make room for my bench

My custom order wheels arrived from Dimitry at diolex production today. He already does these rims in15" sizes but I asked if it would be possible to get them in 17" for the radas and raiders (both sets of 5 spokes) and 18" for the brms I also got one of the mk2 golf rallye 3d prints which is for the fujimi golf kits And from ARM in france I got a 3dr mk3 golf resin but the rear windows look too short to me

I assure you its not, the guy doing the work is using all the original parts he can. Sure theres a lot of new metal but mark spicer is not someone that replaces the entire panel, he uses the new panels for patches but most is original metal and more original paint than the as found pic would let you think. I reccomend taking an hour or two to read through it, theres much more work than just driving a new one under it

Thought this might interest some of you. This is the second vw samba ever built and it is being restored in a very different way. It was found after being left for decades in a german forest/field so it was in a very poor state. The resto is different to most as they are saving as much original metal and believ it or not paint as possible. In the pics of the resto all the sealing wax red areas are original paint. The first vehicle I drove was a early 60s fordson tractor. I was around 12 and the lesson consisted of thats the steering, thats the throttle and those are the brakes but you dont need to worry about them cos they dont work anyway. OK I'll see you there.... and the guy cleared off and left me with what amounted to 4 wheels and and engine with a seat rusted on the back. The first road vehicle I drove was a 1971 vw bus that was lhd. Surprised a few farmers whn it would go most places their landies could, and got stopped by the cops loads cos whys a kid driving

Got another tamiya karmann ghia, unfortunately the roof got damaged in the post but the seller was 100% and gave a full refund. I've also got more tamiya bugs and a revell mk1 on the way along with a 3d printed golf rallye body and some special order air cooled type wheels in larger sizes. Theres a recent arrival foose pick up that came with a nice set of tweezers free from davecoleysemporium ebay shop and a box of goodies from spot model. also a resin mk3 golf 3 door since the one I'm building from the fujimi kit has snowballed into a bigger project and some mr weathering pencils.
