  1. Man thats sweet, you got me hooked with the first pic. nice job on the diffuser and hood
  2. sunnys been xrayed today and the break is fixable. But they cant do anything until the he pees. If he doesn't pee it might not be good news but I'm hopeful. The vets here are good so I've got everything crossed. The same vets uncle fixed one of our previous cats that was in much worse shape and she lived another 14 years. sunny is only 2 and a half so hopefully his youth helps
  3. thats the one, my mind went blank when i tried to mind hid on
  4. I think the beretta chassis was used under a couple of other kits, one was the turbo superchraged show car in red to yellow fade (i forget its name) and i cant remember the other
  5. My sisters cat got run over tonight which didn't please me. What pleased me was the young lass driving actually stopped and went followed the cat to see where it went to hide. She then went door to door to find the owners. By the time she got to mum and they went out to get the cat, he had run off to hide again (a cats natural reaction to getting hurt is to hide) Within 10 minutes half the villiage mum lives in were out searching in heavy rain for the cat too and stayed out for the entire 2 hours it took to find sunny. The cat is now at the vets and has a suspected broken leg or pelvis but we have to wait until tomorrow to get an xray. The lass that hit the car was completely devasted so another of the neighbours drove her home and took her father back to pick up her car. It was just an accident but the community showed what community means which is pretty awesome
  6. awesome score, there been one of those metal frames on ebay uk for 2 years now, and the pick up kit. only $115 each
  7. I tend to pop in and out throughout the day and night. My job is watchman on a ferry so i'm just sat on it for 12 hours. Theres only about 2 hours work to do in the 12 hours so i spend a lot of time on here since its fast to load.
  8. that might work if you add afew bars to the revell beretta kit, its a bit narrower
  9. The glidden chassis most likelly wont fit, its 1/24 and probably too wide for the nova body. I used one under a bmw e36 and it was a tight fit in it. would the amt pro street nova chassis fit?
  10. I bought our local water bords old 4x4 mk2. it was blue with a colgne v6. It was a fun beach runner and surprisingly capable over rocks, but still my bay window was better
  11. Could it be because the tamiya tyres that were in this kit are really soft in the first release and it helped it sit level once built? I had the kit during the 90s and after a wheel swap with the alfa dtm car it never sat quite right so it might have been down to the taper
  12. There was a thread on the forum a couple of years ago. It may have been in aftermarket or tips section. I think the thread was called working tops or similar and someone mentioned where to find resin up tops in the thread. sorry i'm not more help
  13. I'm only seeing the mk2 ones just now but they pop up on ebay quite regular https://motobitz.uk/kits--trans-kits1.html
  14. would it be any cheaper for you to order from australia? I'm in scotland and i find its often cheaper to order from bna modelworld on the web or a-modeller on ebay, than ordering from near to home and doesn't take much longer to be delivered
  15. Has anyone heard from Geoff? Its been a year since he was on and I've not seen him around the other forums either
  16. You can absolutelly do that. Personally I have no interest in factory stock yet some of my fav builders on the forum only build that way. You can easily judge something only by the workmanship and it happens often in the 1/1 world too. Some of the vehicles that have won ambr or detroit have fantastic attention to detail but the end result isn't to my tastes. Quality workmanship will always stand out even if its not necessarily aesthetically pleasing to your eye
  17. theres a mk1 transit conversion available, and a long wheelbase. I think its motobitz that do them
  18. I think it looks pretty good as it is. Once the chrome goes on it will bring it to life, but maybe a company logo or something on the doors might work too
  19. You can wet sand metallics and pearls. I've done it with hok on a deep chip (dropped my sprue cutters on the roof) and it turned out fine. The secret is not to change direction and not to press too hard on it. You can see how it was done here http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/159305-57-bug-with-working-suspension-teardrop-trailer/
  20. you should be able to play it at double speed somewhere in the options menu
  21. c'mon man, I'm sure you've seen people being personally attacked on the forum over toy cars. Do you really think 2 divisive topics like politics and religion would end well. This place is a respite from from seeing that stuff on the news all the time. We dont need a jan 6th on the forum
  22. I dont know why you guys are complaining, gas is over ten bucks a gallon where i am, and from next week I'll be paying more for electric than for rent.
  23. If you have daughters or grandaughters with barbies, the old style phones come with small coiled wire thats close to scale. You might also find something in the hair styling or dolls house sections in shops
  24. It says online he's sitting this year out after spending most of last year filming away from his family. He says he'll be back for the okc series
  25. How old is the pen? has it been stored in a cool place? Has the paint you are using it over fully gassed out? Has it been stored with the tip pointing up? The pens seem to go bad if they are somewhere with large temprature flucuations. I have a set of the first pens that are still good but i dont keep them anywhere near heat and store them with the point up when not being used. You can pump out a little of the pens and brush it on without any problems but you have to be quick or it will dry. You may find that it just needs a longer shake if its been sitting a while. If the paint you are using it over hasn't fully gassed out it can gunk up the tips and cause them to stop working.
