  1. I'm looking to start one of these this year, most likely the daf. The mercedes was on sale for about half price Some beacons, spotlights and chain from kfs The daf was 15 quid because half the front bumper is missing but shouldn't be a problem. Planning to put a hi-ab behind the cab on this and have it dechromed and pulling the dumper trailer Trailer for the daf And these tyres are for an old fridge trailer I already have that is being made into a flat bed
  2. Neat, I've seen loads just like this, many still working for a living too which a lot of modern tractor just cant seem to manage
  3. I gotta agree on that one, I had one in a four door euro mk2 escort and it just would not die no matter how much it was beat on, but then that may be why it was the same block used in the cosworth turbos. I also like the vauxhall/opel/holden 2lirtes from the early til late 90's, especially when they have the saab conversion, and the honda vtec is pretty cool too. I don't have any experience of the nissan or toyota 2 litres but given they're popular with the import guys they must be pretty good too. But being being a vw fan boy their 1.8 mk3 golf gti is my fav, I had one bored to around 2l on twin carbs and it just seemed to have power for days. I didn't do any of the engine work other than add the carbs but I suspect it had other work done before I got it but it was still a strong engine and I am still harrasing the guy that has it now to sell it back (I think he's starting to get sick of me now, lol)
  4. kit form services do tiger print and stripey ones, and I've seen others. What style are you looking for?
  5. Just an option but I have the amt woody mentioned already and the revell 48 woody and the revell seems to have a slightly wider front window area (just going from memory since I have neither easy to get to just now) which may fit the 37 better. For the roof a simple pie cut along the front line of the door post/b pillar may save some work and if it was continued into/close the flat of the roof may save some work. After all that scratching up the lower rear panel to suit the 37 fender might be a walk in the park
  6. a bay window vw van, there are so many split screen kits now but no bay windows
  7. Cool, I think this could be the first build of this kit I've seen. I like your colour choices too, like something from the h2o show n shine
  8. I would go half way between the two, like it was still being worked
  9. This weeks arrivals, the cop cars wont be when I'm done with them. Anybody know how to lower a dinosaur?
  10. Going to be watching this, had my eye on this kit for a while
  11. I can only remember one mopar - mostly old parts and rust
  12. I'm not joking about wanting a kit of an allegro, the joke is someone wanting a kit of an allegro. I want to build a gasser from one, square steering wheel and all
  13. I actually bought from kingkit for the first time today, 2 jo-han plymouth cop cars for the price of 2 current kits cant be bad and the wagon is so ugly slamming it will improve the looks no end. Just wish I could fine a 1/24 or 1/25 allegro..., lol
  14. Try searching for hannants on google, they're in england and seem to stock them
  15. I found it to just be top gear with a new name, nothing about it seemed to be fresh or surprising. I think you could be wrong about top gear itself though, now they got rid of chris evans I think it will improve a lot
  16. I like that, for me the wheels are the finishing touch
  17. Cheers folks, espo I only noticed the tyres after I'd glued the wheels on and being so much lower they're now stuck like that cos there's no space to get them off.
  18. I think there is a 1/32 in plastic or airtrax probably do one in resin
  19. I think I nailed it
  20. Has anyone tried using bondic on a painted surface?
  21. After looking at it again, I should have moved the front wheels forward a little as well
  22. The original version looks like it should be a 4 door to me, but with the size of the trunk lid it probably wouldn't lose too much of the practicality, it wouls be a struggle to get the spare in and out
  23. Well I'm very much a newbie at photoshop but I gave the marlin a shot. I moved the rear wheels back and shortened the back of the car. You can see by the white gaps how much. I suppose I made it what you guys would call a compact
  24. That pontiac would be a great starting point for a modern version, similar to what they did with the mustang and challenger. If your going to be restyling others can post the challenge of doing a G-wiz,
  25. This is the revell street burner version. I swapped out the engine for a big block from a 60's camaro but kept the monte's induction. The suspension has been lowered as far as possible without cutting the chassis or arches. The paint on this one fought ma all the way to the end, and just when I thought I had it beat the screen snapped. The interior is stock but I did it in white and tan. The wheels are from aoshima.
