  5. Welcome Galyna, hope to see your builds soon
  6. Ok I'm new to the forum. I haven't had a bad experience here unlike one of the other model forums where I have been made to feel like I have no right to be there(shall remain nameless). I am also a member of other forums where I have been made to feel more welcome but thats just how life is. I think a beginners section for their builds could be the way to go in the future where criticism should only take place if it is asked for, and even then it should be tips on improving builds rather than just criticism for the sake of it. I know i get things wrong on my builds but thats why I ask for constructive criticism, as I think it would help my future builds. If you've evr been on a 1/1 forum you'll know how much worse it could be. On the whole I would say there are some who are a little snobbish but they are in the minority, but at the same time they are the ones who's comments will stand out, as a bad comment will take the shine of a compliment. I like it here so I'll be staying and I would like to thank you all for having me. Cheers folks, happy building
  7. I've got the heller 4cv kit in my stash. Its tiny yet the box is huge
  8. Cool car, black would have been boring in my opinion. Being another colour suits it
  9. Cool, this made me smile. Looks cool and like it was fun to get the ideas down in plastic
  10. Thanks folks
  11. Cool build, nostalgia rocks
  12. The dark blob on the roof is rain. I had to rush my pics, lol
  13. Just finished my first kit in ten years or more. Feel free to comment and I will have more written up about this later this week.
  14. First WIP pics will be up tommorow!!
  15. Thats a really smart looking VW there. Well done on the work you've done. Its turned out really well
  16. Thankyou, I'm sure you had similar cars to this in Oz
  17. I think from what your saying that when i attempt my first resin that I would try one of the thicker ones since it would maybe be a little more forgiving for a first one. I still think I'll stick to plastic for now though until I get a little less rusty. Thanks again for all yout repliesV They have been very helpful
  18. Thankyou folks, I think I will leave resin just now. I will need a lot more practice before I can risk attempting them. I appreciate your taking the time to answer me and send mucho thanks from Scotland.
  19. If you need space on your shelf I would give it a good home! 3 days too? Beautiful car
  20. Hi folks, just a little question that is probably stupid but while i have heard of resin many times, and there are many kits in it I would like, I don't know the difference between styrene and resin. The question is how are they different to work with? Would i need new tools or glues/paints? Thankyou for your time
  21. You can tell him from me that i really look forward to more of his builds. I think more people should build with a ten year olds view, makes the ideas so much more pure and original. Would love to see his take on a rat rod style build too
  22. Looking good,
  23. I had a problem with Plasti Kote primer not drying on just the blue plastic from the Revell escort rs1800 kit. my first lot just wouldn't dry so i sanded it back and used a new tin(bought that day) and the same happened. I ended up getting a tin of Holts acrylic clear plastic primer followed by Holts acrylic filler primer and it worked fine. Might be worth a try before it drives you mad. I plan to use the plastic primer first every time now and stick to Holts for all my bodies.
