Anyone here into this? I’ve become curious about 3D printing something like a figure or bust or something like that and learning to paint it, but I’m not really sure where to start. If you’re into that side of the hobby, I’d love to hear your take on it and any suggestions you might have.?

Thanks Topher. I hate to jinx myself by saying it, but so far everything is going together pretty smoothly.

Finished spraying color on the body today. Now I’ll let it gas out and then shoot clear when I get a chance. It went on very smooth and glossy. But I tried a technique I heard about for spraying metallics. On the final coat, I pulled the brush a little further back and just dusted the model. With luck, after clearing it, it should create a nice even flake in the paint.

Are you gonna eat all that or share?

Picked up another bucket list kit yesterday.

Got the distributor finished yesterday. The kit distributor cap was shaved off and replaced with a 3D printed replacement.
