I think it sounds most like a Lindberg kit, I read an article in a magazine some time ago on these and I belive it may have been in that article but I'm not sure.

That sure looks like the type of movie I like, I wish it had subtitles. The movie is french but it is dubbed in spanish.

That is very much the possible outcome here aswell. I don't remember if we ever sold a box like that so maybe most people thought of it as too much of a risk.

The resin model above is from Modelhaus but I did find a resin kit on some other webiste aswell but can't remember where.

I was once working i a store that replicated keys for customers. We did sell a magnet box that you could hide somewhere under your car with a spare set of keys in it.

I have seen that orange and black rally 603 in person. It used to take part in a local rally here every year before but then they stopped organizing the rally. It is a very special car because it is the only one that has been factorybuilt for rallying in the Tatra factory. I have a 1:43 diecast of a 603 made by IXO. I have also seen a large toy car verion of one on Ebay. I think it was something like 1:20-1:18 in scale and made way back then when they where new cars.

Yes there is many good books on the subject. Like the Birth of the beetle book written by Chris Barber. For you Tommy there is a Norwegian book available at the moment from Veteran VW Klubbben (www.vwklubb.no) with the name "Historien om folkevognen" written by Peer Gretland in 1967. They just made a set of reprints of that book. I have read trough it and it is very good.

Yes, that is the ones. Have they used them in other kits aswell?

Does anyone know if the wheels that is is Revell 66 Chevelle wagon kit is also in other kits? And if so, what kits?

Is the 5,2 "318" the same as the old 318?

The most disturbing thing I see is that the Mercedes is fitted with barock wheels. Nice wheels but not on anything older than ca 1970.

For me, it depends a lot on what kit it is but I always look trough the instructions on new kits (especially new tool kits) to see how things are done and to get an idea of what details are in the kit. But I don't always use them when building, many times only for refrence on some parts. When I build something I am familar with in 1:1 then the instructions are of no use (like the 63 bajabug project I got at the moment) as I build from what I know but if I build something that I don't know much about then the instructions are used all the time.
