  1. Just to show both 1993 side by side
  2. While I was building the Ponitac in the last post, I build the Trans Am too. Both. At the same time. Easily AMT/ERTL: 1993 Pontiac Firebird 1/25 AMT #8610 Decals... Hm. Decals. Why AMT puts the screaming chicken this bad on paper? After the middle part of the rear lights are painted it is unpossible to see the s.c. You can imagine it on the pictures. Not good. I don't know how this was planned....
  3. AMT/ERTL:1994 Pontiac Firebird Formula 1/25 AMT #8954 Built oob. Curiosest thing: the instruction sheet is missing the places where I have to put the formula decals. Hm. Who cares. Did it on my own
  4. Again it's the proof: you can built a good model kit out of the old MPC kit
  5. 1979 Pontiac TransAm 10th Anniv. 1/25 MPC #1-0741 This was a resoration by my own bad built Trans Am. It was violett metallic and some day I was in the mood to paint it grey metallic. The paint wasn't happy with the old paint and went up. A lot of scratches and the model drove into a darker part of the shelf All right. I sanded it someday and painted it red. Another bummer. The paint was worser than bevor and because it was christmas I made a small diorama with a Pontiac in the snow. With my experiences through the years I took it again. Stripped all the paints of and made it new. Now it's good enough for the gang And I'm happy with it.
  6. It followed a 1979 Pontiac TransAm Black Bird 1/25 MPC #6332 I think a lot of modellers know the kit. Nothing to say about perfect fitting and so I don't know what happened with the wind shield after a couple of days
  7. Picture of the workbench.... Here you can see the stupid inner wheel. The left rim is oob, the right one cut out.
  8. It all started with him: 1998 Pontiac Firebird Ram Air 1/25 Revell #85-2159 Built oob. The only thing I've done was to cut the inner wheels to have "break thru". Someday I'd like to add some etched break discs. *grrr*
  9. This is a Project, I'm working on and on. I think, it started with the built of the latest Trans Am (MJ 2002). I saw one on ebay.com in red. It looked so incredible hot that I built my kit of Revell/Monogram the same way. Then the idea was born. One reason. The other reason is, that I own a 1988 Firebird Formula - my beast. I fulfilled a dream to have one in 2000. Sadly it is nowadays to expensive to drive such a piece of GMs history in Germany. The vehicle taxes are so high that I had to overthink if it's worth to pay ~600 Euros vehicle tax a year only for maybe 1000 km driving fun. Insurance not included. So I sadly de-registered the Pontiac 7 years ago and parked it in my garage. Nevertheless I love the car. I love it to "visit" it in the garage and let it idle from time to time. My goal is to register it again in a couple of years. In 2019 would be an option because the Pontiac turns 30 and it's a historical car by law. Vehicle tax will be less then half and insurance definitely cheaper as today Back to my little project. I wrote to build some Firebirds / Trans Ams of all generations on my to-do-list. I started to restore some kits or built some new. I'll show you here what I've reached so far. This thread isn't done already. When I'll have built another red Pontiac, I'll post it here. I'll change this group picture some day. Missing on the picture: 1983 Trans Am Each model will become it's own post in the order, I've built it. Let's start...
  10. This is very good, that the body has the look of stainless steal out of the box! Never thought about that. Aoshima did a good job on this. Your details are pretty good. It looks great and the presentation is also very nice. Well done!
  11. A beautiful color Like it.
  12. I like the pictures in the sun
  13. Holy That's awesome long. If you hadn't mentioned that there are different numbers of doors, I wouldn't had noticed them. Maybe because there are no door handles on it This would be a good addition.
  14. Very clean built! Great paint and BMF job. Maybe you could give the wheel hubs a little more deepness with Tamiya smoke or so.
  15. Thank you very much for your kind words
  16. Another addition to my 3 Accords I've built approx. 15 years ago Thank you for your attention. Comments are welcome
  17. So here the pictures of the finished racing car. It's not perfect but I'm satisfied. In the mean time the Honda-Logos at the front and rear are "real" metal stickers
  18. I'd like to show you some models I've built in the near past. I'll start with one of my favorite model - because I'm a Honda enthusiast. I bases on the following model kit of Tamiya: 1996 Honda Accord JACCS 1/24 Tamiya #24180*1800 I ordered the decals at http://www.scalemodellink.com because I found them on ebay.com. I like the fresh green and the golgen stripes. I finished the built after one year building time in 2014 because different issues made me to park the kit in the waiting loop. It started with the whit paint. It was horrible. A lot of spots on the body where the plastic did it's thing (ruff surface) and amazingly some silicone spots. The first time in years.... I stripped of the whole paint and restarted successfully. Then the decal set wasn't as good to handle as I supposed. After a lot of decals were on the body I decided to paint the green color by my self. The first layer of clear coat should save the decals. But I was wrong. I don't know, why some of them got off after the tape and masking film was removed. Another thing: the decals were cracked after another layer of clear coat. Good that I ordered two sheets so I was able to scan them and make some on my own. Some decals where I'm sure they'll be work because I thought the second sheet wouldn't be better to handle. So the most decals on the white paint are self made and the result after another layer of clear coat was pretty good. The last step were the golden stripes. They are made of BMF. Sealed under another (who wouldn't believe it ) layer of clear cote. Done. I completed the interior with seat belts and some flocking for the drivers seat. That was all.
  19. Unfortunately the Aoshima kits are RHD. At least I can only speak for the kits I own
  20. Wow! The yellow one looks awesome! Look at the great dashboard! Maybe you'll put it into a gallery under glass ? Andre. I'd like to say: the back lights looking very good! I don't know, how long it had last but it is worth it. Maybe you'll give your Firebird a nice paintjob. At least just clear coat. The kit would deserve it.
  21. Thanks Rob! Never saw a Subaru Supra stupid Boy as a kit Have to look it up. Thanks! After I looked it up, I'm informed. Good to know, that the kit has such a cool engine included
  22. The chair is a cool thing you've built
  23. @Lee / midnightprowler .... All the Aoshima kit of the Accord Wagon are curbside. Sadly
  24. Absolutely great done!
