  1. This is a fine "little" detail with a big effect
  2. This one turned out very good! Unbelievable that it is a snap tite! The wheatering is fantastic! It looks very realistic.
  3. Some kind of strange in this color but cool Like it. Also I'm a big fan of the steel rims and hub caps The underbody and engine compartment is pretty well done!
  4. I owned such a Marmon too when I was much younger. 5 years ago I sold them all because my interest changed. I never knew, that the original truck wasn't only a Peterbilt with other labels. I thought, it was right like the model kit was. Good. Today with all the internet and good forums it's easier to see mistakes... I'd like to comment on this some words. Not especially to you, niteowl, in general. I have good connections to the guy(s) who are responsible for PR and internetstuff (websites, forums). Everywhere in model communities there is the discussion about this "share your dreams" site. You can be sure, that every single wish goes through a kind of poll. They check all the suggestions concerning whether it's possible to make, to get the license and how much it will cost to produce the kit. In the most cases it fails because of the license. The main budget in the developing are the license costs and (unbelievable, but true) the artist, who designs the boxes / covers. I couldn't believe it too. This is the main problems for new kits.
  5. nice! Am I wrong or did you made the front axle steerable?
  6. Thank you for your nice comments. I appreciate it @Frank ... I love this hood too. This look talks "Out of my way or I'll suck you in!" If I had a Smart, I'd never want to be in front of such car
  7. Still in the race.... Did I mention, that my exhaust fits now to the Mini chassis?
  8. Wow! This work is awesome! It reminds me on my built a couple of years ago. But in comparison with yours mine is rubbish. Your interior is awesome, the details are amazing and your wiring and ... Everything Is pretty well and clean done. My fully respect for this great work! I built mine out of some pieces and with changeable rear end. The coffin cabinet can be replaced by a flat. This was my main idea. And the used look.
  9. I think you really don't want to know :D

  10. Just giggling about ... you know: stupid guys :)

  11. Still in progress - my Mini
  12. This is another proof, that a Ferrari doesn't have to be red! Looks good in this nice blue Did you paint the rims with alclad? They look good!
  13. Quite interesting, what parts you put together to this nice car! It deserves better pictures
  14. The color is great! I'm happy to see another 1993 FiBi on the forum. I read about the front wheel, that sticks out of the fender. I bet, that this is a problem of the kit. I built the 1993 Firebird and 1993 Trans Am. Both by AMT and both have the "sticking" wheel. Both The 1993 Camaro by AMT too. Same base, same problem. Like I wrote: I like your Bird. The color is cool and unusual. Well done!
  15. Beautiful! Totally beautiful! Love it. The paintjob is awesome and the darker brown fits perfectly to the black. You took up my idea to build this convertible in black. Some months ago I read about a barnfind in France. Same car. Also black and I began to look after a kit to build. When I was 20 years younger, I had two of them built already. 11 years ago I sold them with all my Ferrari. Last week I got a kit again - only because of the article So I know how rare the kit is. There was the same kit in a Revell box. This is what I bought. You did me a big favor: no red on the two Ferrari you show here. There a're so many nice colors by Ferrari and so I decided: a Ferrari hasn't to be red (in my shelf). The only Ferrari I'm gonna paint red is the F40. Like your Dino as well as the 250 Pretty well done!
  16. Frankensteiners - cool ans thank you for educating me The Tamiya Bug looks great too! In my point of view, it's the best kit of a Beetle on the market. I think I know the rims of the 1987 Ford Thunderbird (Monogram) The large Revell is a good kit in summary. Just the few details won't fit at all. I read that you have the same experience like I had while I built mine: the part go very well together. No doubt about it. Thank you for liking my greenish Beetle It will change to a more original look in the near future. I don't like the color combination since years. Btw: you're doing great on the engine *thumbs up*
  17. Someone just doesn't know how to name himself. so lame....

  18. I think, I have a stalker. Right, Michael / Mick / Robert or however you're real name is!? Pure boy.

  19. I think, I have a storker. Right, Robert / Michael / Mike or however your real name is!?

  20. This wagon is huge! Good, that you showed us 3 pictures at least (still less - because it's a rare model kit, shown in a forum). The only thing I really dislike, is the chrome trim. That is very unclean painted. I suppose, you've used a brush for it. I usually use a small, silver Edding marker. It's easier to draw such long lines at one time and looks nearly to chrome.
  21. The color scheme is awesome! Never thought that such kind of paint job would fit to a Cadillac. Pretty well done!
  22. Yeah, this is cool! The idea to get the skeleton behind the wheel is much better then to let it stand near by the rod. Cool!
  23. ....and the question about the resine you take isn't answered at all.
  24. @Martin ... Thank you for the invitation to present "our" Beetles. I want to say another word to the kit: it's not that bad anyway because it's a good scaled Model kit and everything could be opened. There is a lot of room to make it better or historically correct. Who knows, what kind of "Bastelbude" (don't know a English word for it - a car, which is built out of other cars to get one) Revell got for the forms. I built mine a lot of years ago - and stupidly out of box. In that times I didn't take care about correctness . And colors ... But it's on my schedule this year: to restore it and make my Bug out of it. A 12/1952 - therefore I have "only" to change the dashboard. This is how I built model kits ~25 years ago. Sorry. I know. It has a lot of potencial
