  1. Got a smart TV and multiple streaming services. There's always something on I haven't seen before. If I don't want to see it I don't watch it, simple as that. Is someone holding you captive and forcing you to watch these shows, Rick? [blink once for yes, twice for no]?
  2. I can't add anything to what the others have said ,,just incredible.
  3. What "chrome" exactly? I see that's a hood from an AMT '63 Vette, I know those hoods didn't come chrome plated in the box.
  4. RMR does a '65 hardtop. That's about as close as I've found. He casts when ordered so everything on the site says "out of stock" but contact him. https://rmrmodels.com/
  5. If you wanted to go that way, the '56 would be even closer.
  6. Did a little work on the cab. Got the awful "add-ons" removed. The top of the windshield frame was damaged by all the glue so I'll be repairing that along with the back of the cab roof and front edge of the hood. All glue damaged. I also started fitting one of my resin GMC grille surrounds. I managed to get 3 copies out of the mold, that should be enough to do me for a while. One for this truck, one for a replica of my brother in laws [who's passed] truck that will be a gift to his daughter and one left. I think I'll refine that one and make it fit the new kits and cast a few copies of that.
  7. How much room do you need? Would sanding it down to about 1/2 it's current height get you there?
  8. I know he would have been blown away by it. ,, Just incredible. I really wish he could have seen all this and known just how much he meant to the community. I know he was feeling down and not appreciated and I'm sure if he could have seen all this it would have meant the world to him. In one of the last e-mails I got from him about a day before he passed he told me , ,"It's hell not feeling missed or appreciated." ,, But he was appreciated but just didn't know the extent of it. I really wish he could have seen this and kudos to all of you who've taken time to make a response in any of the active threads. I'm sure he looking down from somewhere smiling. ?
  9. That's looking great Kyle. Coming along nicely. As for the air cleaner, there's a couple things you can try, First is cutting the carb down a little. You usually can't see the top of them when the air cleaner's on so it's not noticeable. You could also carefully drill out the underside center of the ait cleaner a bit. I'd use a bit slightly larger then the top of the carb and be vary careful not to go through it. You just want it so the carb will sit slightly up in the hole. Easiest to just cut down the carb, I've done it several times.
  10. I'd like to see a '67 Galaxie or a '66 Bonnie too but don't fool yourselves gentlemen, A '68 Impala is where the money's at for '60s full size cars. The lowrider crowd alone could keep the inventory exhausted for years. BTW, I don't need another one, I got mine.
  11. Keven informed me Friday morning and it was really hard to keep quiet for the last several days but we were asked not to let it known at the time. Build on Snake.
  12. I'm afraid Snake isn't coming back. He passes early last Friday morning, Khils and a few others of us are working up a short memorial post that should be up shortly.
  13. BTW, I think Missing Link used to do those wheel covers but I don't see them listed right now.
  14. The Lindberg [originally Palmer/PSM] is actually copied from the MPC kit and the body is pretty nice. Just as accurate as the MPC except the tail lights and headlights look a bit small. The look pretty good when built up. Maybe your confusing them with the multi-piece body cheap kits, Trevor? ,, Not the same at all.
  15. The AMT '56 would be the perfect donor if you can find one. I think the Revell/Monogram one would be too big. If you want the wire wheels and wide whites, AMT did a parts pack of exactly those recently so shouldn't be hard to find. They seem a bit pricey for a wheel/tire pack though.
  16. It's od to see one of those Revell '57 Nomads without major sink marks in the fenders. ?
  17. To me it looks too ,,, "neat", "professionally drawn" "geometric" ,, I guess?? To me an anarchy symbol would always have a more scribbled, raggedy look like in Bills pic.
  18. Bill, I let it dry for a week and then put one coat of Future on it. Had a time finding the Future too, A fellow builder in my club who builds planes had a little of the original left. I tried a second coat on a different part and it did fog up I think I didn't let it dry long enough though. Still experimenting.
  19. I've also had some luck coating the Revell spray with a coat of Future. It's thin but seems to be doing the trick with the grille shell for my '32 Chevy. I've been handling it normally so far during the building process, test fitting, doing mockups and such and it looks pretty well the same as when I started
  20. Ok, so, here's what I'm starting with for the first truck. It's missing a couple suspension parts but I can cast copies from one of the unbuilt kits I have. It'll be a silver over white build with a traditional 4/6 drop. Gatorback tires on Ferrari wheels. Probably keep the 454 but swap the intake out for a F.I unit. I'm definitely going for the '90s "Sport Truck Magazine" look with this one ? Gotta love that air dam used as a visor glued on with a 1/2 tube of glue. ? Anyway, this is how it's sitting as of an hour ago.
  21. That sounds like it'll be a pretty impressive rig, Dan.
  22. Well you can just glue the engine block halves together and call it good, Bill. ? But seriously, love to have you join.
  23. If I had started the thing a bit later or had taken a bit longer to build it I would have participated in the build, if you would have had me. ? As it was, I was just finishing it up then the build started. ? This is referring to my '29 pickup build, of corse I would have done a couple things a bit differently.
