The 5.0 from the original 3 window and roadster is also in the sedan and 5 window in addition to the flattie in the sedan and early hemi in the 5 window. So, both those kits have 2 complete engines in them.

The wife and I watched the current version of Roadhouse last night. Wasn't expecting much going in but we liked it. The action was great, it had a sense of humor and didn't take itself too seriously. If you're looking for a serious movie, this ain't it. Overall, if your expecting a shot for shot of the original, you'll be disappointed but if you take it for what it is, a different story that's similar to the original but still it's own thing, it's a pretty good, fun time waster.

1967-72 Chev aftermarket parts
Can-Con replied to 64Comet404's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
hoppersbazaar on e-bay has a bunch of stuff cast from the original kit parts, which are more accurate then the iceman's printed ones. I only see the '70 grille and a couple front bumpers on there right now but they've had all the grilles in the past. https://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_dkr=1&iconV2Request=true&_blrs=recall_filtering&_ssn=hoppersbazaar&store_cat=0&store_name=hoppersbazaar&_oac=1&_nkw=chev resin -
If they did a new body I'd suspect they'd also have to do new glass to go with it. Maybe some underhood details that are not molded to the body.

Don't know about selling but I have come across my pics being used in youtube videos a couple times without being asked. This one in a Jo-Han history video, and this one a couple months ago in a review video for the re-release. I hope the people who watched that video and bought the kit weren't too disappointed that most of the accessories I added were not in the kit.? Not a big deal really but it would have been nice to be asked first.

This is the sheet from one of the earlier releases. This with the stuff Alberto mentions in his post would be a pretty complete sheet. BTW, those stripes are for color separation of the factory 2-tone paint sceme.

Last time it happened here I had a station on the radio in the car going to work. The guys were listening to a heavier station when I got there. Went out to the car to eat lunch and thought someone was screwing with me and changed the station, totally different "top 40" play list, different D.J.s, etc. Absolutely no warning whatsoever. Oh well. Thankfully I have loads of data on my phone and a blue tooth radio and don't have to listen to that carp. ?

Yea, you can only listen to Nickleback, Alanis Morrisette and Steppenwolf so may times until you want to go down to the station and burn it down. ?

Local oldies ['70s/'80s some '70s and 'early '90s] radio station I usually listen to at work started playing Taylor Swift almost constantly last Thursday evening. I mean besides the CRTC mandatory Canadian content which was about 1/3. So you'd have one or two Canadian then two or three Swift. ? Pretty bad. That went on until this morning when they switched to an all "modern top 40" format. ? I'm not a 14 year old girl so I'll be listening to another station from now on. ?

Handmade pickup
Can-Con replied to YEKUN's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Looks good so far. -
The AMT Pacer wagon kit also has a 6 but it's not as detailed as the MPC one , which I've always thought was nicely detailed.

Looks great. Super paint. Monogram also did a snap kit '80/'81 turbo Camaro in 1/24.

Cleaned up the ends of the breaks where the previous owned tried to glue it back together with a 1/2 tube of glue. Cut a couple lengths of "C" channel down the center and used them to reinforce the outer side of the frame. Now it's strait and strong enough to work with.

Rodded '32 Chevy delivery
Can-Con replied to Can-Con's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Decided to go with the smooth fender unit. Filled the exhaust holes and slightly widened the rear to accomodate the wider tires I'll be using on the back. -
T-Bucket (the pickup kind)
Can-Con replied to OldNYJim's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
About that body/frame thing,,, It's a "hot rod", there is no "right or wrong". Just my opinion, of corse. -
I did try decanting it and airbrushing it ,, didn't work too well. No where as good as strait from the can.

Thanks Mike but I can't take too much credit for that, just following the natural contours of the car.

Right. No convertible Thunderbirds from the factory from '66 until the "nostalgia" 2 seat birds in the 2000s

Atlantis Models has bought another lot of tooling/molds.....
Can-Con replied to Dave Van's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I think what they're getting at is he designed the kit parts, how they're shaped in plastic, how they fit together, the layout of the parts trees, that kind of thing as opposed to the actual 1/1 parts. -

Ah, yes. He was a great customizer. Definitely a trendsetter in the field. -
This is a project I've been thinking about for a couple years now. Originally I was going to swap the formal '69 roof with the fastback '71 roof but I see that's been done already and I wanted to do something I hadn't seen before. SO, I'm doing a convertible in the vein of the '62-'66 where the top hides under the hard panels behind the rear seat instead of just being covers with a boot. I'm using pieces from a couple kits. The body wasn't too bad but I only have one spare chassis for this generation Thunderbird kit to use and it's a major glue bomb. I do love a challenge. The custom front and rear ends are from the '68 kit. The front pan is the same as the one in the '69 kit but the rear is quite different as the '69 went from the '67/'68 full width tail lights to more common rectangular units. The '68 custom tail light and front grille features huge Thunderbird crests which I love the look of and is the main reason I wanted to build this. So, here's what I'm starting with. An original '69 body and interior and the glue bomb chassis. , , and what the custom front and rear ends look like. The roof cut off, , I cut the package shelf from the interior bucket and glued it in place in the body then added some sheet plastic to fill some gaps then puttied it all up. I scribed new panel lines in the deck mimicking those in a '64-'66 convertible. and in primer almost ready to start painting. That was the easy part, now to start on the chassis. I did get it all cut apart with the help of a X-acto saw blade. , , , to be continued,,,

Hey, it's not like someone disagreed with you about calling Bareass a "designer". ? -
