Very sweet!. Great job on the custom touches.

Looks great. That paint is perfect on that car.

I think my bodywork is good enough to start the candy paint now. I'll wet sand this coat of silver with 4000 grit and spray another coat before the candy though.

Who all knows of the Chicago Cutlass?
Can-Con replied to Sledsel's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
There's no way that would be legal here. ,,and from what I know about those GM mid-size cars of that generation, I'd bet the frame is rusted through right where it kicks up in front of the rear axel. No way that thing is safe to drive on the street. -
AMT vs Revell 69 Camaro
Can-Con replied to Brutalform's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Definitely an improvement. For years I've been thinking that the Monogram '53 Chevy hardtop would benefit with a sectioning like that. -

AMT vs Revell 69 Camaro
Can-Con replied to Brutalform's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
It was definitely NOT uncommon in the past for different companies to have kits of the same car. For example, in the late '70s/early '80s every model company had their own kits of the '78-'81 Firebird and Camaros. AMT, MPC, Revell, Monogram, Airfix, Ertl, even Fujimi had at least one kit of those Camaros, many had more then one. -
AMT vs Revell 69 Camaro

I hate to say it but the AMT kit really isn't even in the running. The lines of the body are too compromised from being based on the '68 kit. -
Moebius 1968 Mercury M100 Announcement
Can-Con replied to Erik Solie's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I'd go with this one but they'd have to include several little 1/25 cases of Jack for in the back. ? [BTW, that's not a slam, they were my favorite band and I regret never seeing them live before Doug passed.] -
Moebius 1968 Mercury M100 Announcement
Can-Con replied to Erik Solie's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Um, no. Just no. -
The 5.0 from the original 3 window and roadster is also in the sedan and 5 window in addition to the flattie in the sedan and early hemi in the 5 window. So, both those kits have 2 complete engines in them.

The wife and I watched the current version of Roadhouse last night. Wasn't expecting much going in but we liked it. The action was great, it had a sense of humor and didn't take itself too seriously. If you're looking for a serious movie, this ain't it. Overall, if your expecting a shot for shot of the original, you'll be disappointed but if you take it for what it is, a different story that's similar to the original but still it's own thing, it's a pretty good, fun time waster.

1967-72 Chev aftermarket parts
Can-Con replied to 64Comet404's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
hoppersbazaar on e-bay has a bunch of stuff cast from the original kit parts, which are more accurate then the iceman's printed ones. I only see the '70 grille and a couple front bumpers on there right now but they've had all the grilles in the past. https://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_dkr=1&iconV2Request=true&_blrs=recall_filtering&_ssn=hoppersbazaar&store_cat=0&store_name=hoppersbazaar&_oac=1&_nkw=chev resin -
If they did a new body I'd suspect they'd also have to do new glass to go with it. Maybe some underhood details that are not molded to the body.

Don't know about selling but I have come across my pics being used in youtube videos a couple times without being asked. This one in a Jo-Han history video, and this one a couple months ago in a review video for the re-release. I hope the people who watched that video and bought the kit weren't too disappointed that most of the accessories I added were not in the kit.? Not a big deal really but it would have been nice to be asked first.

This is the sheet from one of the earlier releases. This with the stuff Alberto mentions in his post would be a pretty complete sheet. BTW, those stripes are for color separation of the factory 2-tone paint sceme.

Last time it happened here I had a station on the radio in the car going to work. The guys were listening to a heavier station when I got there. Went out to the car to eat lunch and thought someone was screwing with me and changed the station, totally different "top 40" play list, different D.J.s, etc. Absolutely no warning whatsoever. Oh well. Thankfully I have loads of data on my phone and a blue tooth radio and don't have to listen to that carp. ?

Yea, you can only listen to Nickleback, Alanis Morrisette and Steppenwolf so may times until you want to go down to the station and burn it down. ?

Local oldies ['70s/'80s some '70s and 'early '90s] radio station I usually listen to at work started playing Taylor Swift almost constantly last Thursday evening. I mean besides the CRTC mandatory Canadian content which was about 1/3. So you'd have one or two Canadian then two or three Swift. ? Pretty bad. That went on until this morning when they switched to an all "modern top 40" format. ? I'm not a 14 year old girl so I'll be listening to another station from now on. ?
