  1. Oh, I didn't know that, never had the one you have. I've only seen the box art showing the 5 spoke wheels on the stock buildup. Good to know. Does it have both?
  2. The green one's actually the '79 annual, Jeff. MPV started using names on the annual kits for a while so they could be kept on the shelves longer without being seen as "old". I think the only difference between them is the '79 has the turbine style factory wheels instead of the 5 spoke Z-28 rally wheels.
  3. He was a bit rough but he does kinda have a point Michael. Are you looking for a '69 Daytona, AMT/MPC or Revell/Monogram? I'm assuming you don't mean a "modern" Charger from from Lindberg or AMT. There are Daytona decals available for the Lindberg kit, I haven't seen any for the newer AMT kit yet though.
  4. Don't know how I missed this one the first time around, Tim. Great build. Love the colors and stance. I just ran across the post while looking for inspiration for my build of the same kit. Funny thing is I have everything needed to clone this one including wheels, tires and decals. But, I'm not going to, of corse. ? BTW, those wheels are also in the 4 door Vette kit and the Miami Vice Daytona kit. Exact same wheels and spinners.
  5. Just a simple rebuild of the old annual with a bit of detail added. Flocking inside and photoetch emblems added along with a few bits under the hood and a set of re-chromed rally wheels from an old promo.
  6. Looks like you need a set from this kit,, Or maybe a set of Pegasus Magnums would be close enough for you. Easier to find and they come in 19" and 23" sizes.
  7. Fantastic save. Love seeing something resurrected so well. ?

  9. There's one member on here who likes to post all the latest info on new kits who is in the belief that NNLs are judged contests. Although they do hand out a few plaques or trophies for special categories they're always considered friendly get togethers by the ones putting them on, not "contests". I didn't bother correcting him when he started going on about how awful it is that contests are becoming more of just social gatherings and specifically mentioned NNLs. Not worth my time. BTW, I have been to NNL East several times. and enjoyed it quite a bit. It was great meeting people who you usually only interact on a keyboard with in person. I'd go more often but it's not as easy for me after I bought the house and have to usually stay home on flood watch the weekend of the NNL but it's only a 14 hour drive so maybe I'll show up again someday.
  10. Looks great Jeff. Love that blue on it.
  11. Looks fine to me. It's about what I remember for the one I owned. I found this pic that's taken at about the same angle, looks good to me. BTW, , I should add, this IS NOT my old Nova. It was the same color and trim level but 4 inches lower all around sitting on Magnum 500s with white letter Bridgestones , , and much more rusty.?
  12. Looks great in that color, Jeff. What is it exactly?
  13. You're gonna need more then just a resin copy of the earlier grille. The area around the headlights is different so the earlier grille won't just drop in. Possibly the hood too, I'd have to check the ones I have to say for sure.
  14. Perfect ! ???
  15. Finished up the interior today. Kept it simple , just paint and a little black flocking.
  16. I'd like to see a pic of the inside of the hood where the hinge attaches to it.
  17. Maybe tanks from one of the 1/32 scale snap kit semis?
  18. They were silver, Bill. Remember this was the first year for the Riv, Buick's "prestige" car so it was special. They were green in '64 and '65, same as other Buicks.
  19. I like where you're going with this Dennis but one stupid question, You said you wanted to do a '63 but waited for a distresses rebuilder. Why didn't you start with a common as dirt '65 since your filling the side scoops anyway? Not that I think you've "ruined a rare kit" or anything like that it's just you could have done the same thing a lot sooner with a '65.
