  1. Joseph, you could always just go into the section with the built kits and post "looks great! " "nice build !" and "very nice!" in at least 15 threads and then bingo, you're off moderation! ?
  2. Sean, we weren't calling him wrong, just that it could be better if he was more prepared. This presenter has done tons of videos in the past and has been very good at it, obviously, or Round 2 wouldn't have sent him the kit to review. It happens some sometimes.
  3. Just want to put this out there for those not familiar with the kit. This was the original version of the kit from about '79 or '80. Wasn't exactly a stellar kit back then either. ,, and, yes, that was a real car Barris built.
  4. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask if someone's gonna do a video and put it out there that they at least take 10 minutes to familiarise themselves with what they're making the video about.
  5. You may already be aware of this but every year of Firebird from '67 to 2002 was kitted in either Trans Am or Formula flavor.
  6. Buddy sure seems unfamiliar with the subject he's reviewing. But, anyway,, Cool to see they included the parts for both 2 wheel drive and 4X4 suspensions. The Warlock was available with either. Same goes for the wheels. Both the gold wagon wheels and chrome 5 slot wheels were options on these trucks. That engine is definitely MPCs old big block, definitely not a small block as he stated. I wasn't really that hot to pick one up but now I see that the extra parts are in there I'm sure I'll be needing a couple. I think a tricked out 2 wheel drive Warlock "street truck" is in order to go with my 4X4. ?
  7. Man, that looks fantastic ! ???
  8. Cool work, Joe. For years I've been thinking of doing the same thing with one of the "spectacular" MPC/AMT '69 Charger Daytonas I ended up with.
  9. The lowrider crowd would keep the supply small. Just look at how hard it is to find one of the Revell Caddy lowrider kits. , , and late '60s Impalas are much more popular with them then a late '70s Caddys ever were or will be.
  10. New body, new hood, new front and back bumpers, new tail lights, new interior maybe?
  11. Myles was from Woodstock N.B. About an hours drive from here. A buddy of mine was friends with the members of the band.
  12. Harts Parts resins has them. https://hartspartsresin.com/product/mpc-69-charger-grill-inserts/ The original MPC inserts weren't really all that accurate anyway though. They just have vertical ribs, not the small rectangles like the real thing.
  13. Most people here probably don't know that name buy April Wine are legends in Canadian Rock.
  14. Here's a few pics I took when my uncle was restoring hos '66 sedan. Might be helpful. If you look close you can see there's a crease around the rear window about the same width as the stainless trim and that the seam from the glass to the trunk lid starts right at the corner of the glass. Ni ce work so far. Already more accurate then the resin sedan I bought years ago from MCW.
  15. I want to build that gold custom. I've even seriously thought about getting one of the cheap resin copies and a set of the original custom parts to do it. That car just looks SOooo cool to me. ? I'd also add that I don't buy that George Bareass did the customising on that car for a minute. Too clean. That looks more like something that Winfield or the Alexander Bros. would do.
  16. Peter, I was just goofing around, hence the winky face. ? But, I do know what you mean. I've had a few paintjobs as well as some resin pours ruined because of humidity.
  17. Good luck with the build Jimmy. That's one of my favorite TD kits. Love the box art. As for wheels, I'd also look at the ones in the "Dragon Wagon" re=released a few years ago as the "Circus Wagon". They look ,if not identical, pretty close to me. Here's a pic form "show rod rally" website, if you like I can take a pic of the wheels in my unbuilt example also. I want to add, I did not build this, Don't want anyone thinking I'm trying to take credit for someone else's work.
  18. Sorry to hear that Roy. Ya never know, people come and go. He might even come back under a different screen name, who knows, I did once.
  19. Um, if you guys hover your cursors over Jay's avatar, you'll see he hasn't been here in almost a year. I don't think I'd hold out much chance on getting an update. ?
  20. Put a set of Magnum 500s in there, fix the wheel openings, get the licencing and BANG, TV tie-in baby. ? Instead of "Southern Charger", this one would be "Westen Charger". ?
  21. No worries Rich. Sharing information is what this board is for. ?
  22. Peter, I can guarente you I live more north and more east then you do, and I don't even know where in the States you live. ?
  23. Rich, IIRC you said you didn't want to get another Camaro kit just for the console but ,, Don't know if you're aware but the Revell '69 convertibles have the deluxe interior, IIRC, the deluxe door panels are the same in '68 and '69? I have this version of the kit, just checked it and it has them along with the rest of the pace car parts.
  24. My guess would be the weather, Jon. Cooler air holds more humidity and that can be a factor. I'd wait for drier weather. Humidity is much more of a factor with these things then just temperature. The drier the better.
