  1. Looks great. Love the color combo.
  2. When I see decals printed with the car color around them as a lot of his has, it screams "cheap home printer ". I've never used any but I'd keep looking myself.
  3. No problem. I could live with the corners but no way the depth. IIRC, I think I had planned to mount the windshield from the outside also but cut it too small and put the kit back in the box. I have replacements now and have been thinking about revisiting it. The color is actually a nail polish called "toad" but I had forgot to paint the back bumper filler panel so now I'd have to try matching it as I originally painted it around 20 years ago. Yea, I like to play "the long game". LOL?
  4. The 520 part number shows they're from the AMT '68 Shelby Mustang. The '66 Mustang coupe and '69 Galaxie also have some. The '66 wheels look "off" for some reason and the '69 wheels lack lug nut detail and have quite a deep rim.
  5. I went in a different direction with mine. First, I scribed around the existing trim on both windshield and back glass. I made sure it was reasonably deep. Then I filed and sanded the trim flush with the body. This took care of most of the thickness of the trim. I also slightly beveled the trim on the back window as I had planned to cut down the glass and fit it in from the outside. I never really noticed the radius of the top corners of the windshield before.
  6. The Model Car Garage has them on their photoetch detail set along with a bunch of other useful stuff.
  7. You may be thinking of the Plymouth Duster. From everything I've seen, the '71 and '72 Demons use the same tail lights.
  8. Do you mean the Jo-Han '62 Fury like the reissue in my pic below?
  9. Don't know if you're aware but the exterior decals are in the last reissue of the Dart Sport kit that's boxed as a '76.
  10. The small block covers are in the AMT '71 Duster street machine kit but they only have a blank space where the lettering should be. I'd take my money out and burn it in the driveway before I tried ordering anything from "Reliable" Resin, you'd have about as much chance of getting your product. ?
  11. Love it.
  12. Actually, Mike, I'm pulling your leg. Just want to see how many people fall for it. ?
  13. Here in Canada, it's illegal to cut maple trees without a special permit from the federal government, being a national symbol and all. It would be similar to an American shooting a Bald Eagle. ?
  14. You don't see a lot of car kits in 1/48 scale, Bill.?
  15. Mine are the original 1/25 AMT VW Rabbits. Have built two so far and still have two in their boxes. I don't know why I like the kit so much, it's kinda crappy, poor fit etc. but I do.
  16. Sorry, Rich, no. I don't have an annual so I can't compare them.
  17. Well, IF you can get a hold of one of the Revell grilles you could carefully sand or trim off as much of the "SS" as you can and after painting the grille section black just attach the photoetch piece on top kinda like I did with this Malibu.
  18. The Revell standard '67 grille does indeed have SS in it too. AFAIK, only the AMT '67 from around the '80s/'90s had the standard grille with the regular Camaro emblem like in your pic. Both Revell kits are SS and the AMT annual's stock grille was the R/S grille.
  19. Thanks, IIRC, I went around the trim edges and the edges of the vinyl section with the back edge of an x-acto knife to make a slight trough separating the sections. painted the vinyl [airbrush] and foiled the stainless trim around it. Worked out pretty good. I'm assuming you mean this one,,
  20. Yes, the whole AMT '68 annual line had great artwork.
  21. Yup, just a little heat from a lighter does it for me for over 40 years now. I don't smoke but a lighter comes in handy and keep one on my work area. Also useful when you need a piece of stretched sprue.
  22. Looks good to me Tom, and I'm pretty picky on those old '76s as I used to own an almost fully equipped [just missing the power seat] '76 Landau, burgundy/burgundy with black vinyl on the back of the roof which I replaced with silver when I was re-doing the car. Loved that car, great for going to the drive-in with the fully reclining passenger seat. ? Kudos on doing the windshield pillars properly, most builds I see of them leave the body color strip on the pillar as on the box art, which is wrong.
