  1. After getting the color on I discovered a few more areas that needed attention.
  2. I'm also surprised at that Bob. I've been using it for years, in fact, I'm using it now. ? Somehow, I don't think it's a "chrome problem. Have they tried turning the forum off and back on? ?
  3. I'm surprised no one has mentioned how bad the shape of the top of the side window opening is on the AMT roof. Am I the only one seeing this? It has much more of an upward arch then it should have.
  4. They are in the current kit shown above and it's last reissue. They were also in the original sedan/phaeton version and I think the reissue from a few years ago, but not sure. Some of the worse box are ever on those reissued switchers kits. Checked my copy of the release below earlier today, it does have those chrome headers in it.
  5. I highly suspect the 4 cylinder Honda engine in the chopper included with the MPC '79and '80 Monte Carlos was cribbed directly from these kits. It even has similar exhaust.
  6. Thanks everyone, I really appreciate the comments and interest in the car. BTW, just wanted to mention that the front bumper was separated from the grille and sprayed with the Revell chrome spray.
  7. Nope, I had this kit in the late '70s. Years before the Milner kit was out.
  8. Wish I had thought of that when I built mine. I cut down the windshield from the Monogram 1/24 kit for mine.
  9. BTW, Mike, does your Mach Won kit have a tree with the stock '69 bumpers and grille on it?
  10. Well, I don't have the '70 interior right in front of me but I do have the pics I took when I built the car and the '69 interior right here. Comparing them, the bucket itself is identical right down to the door engraving and the ash tray on the left side rear arm rest. The dash is identical right down to the mold lines on the side. There are a couple rather large locating posts molded to the very back of the tub that I don't think were on the '70 but aside from that, identical. Maybe this person on the other forum you mention has the MPC/AMT kit and doesn't realize they're different kits? I doubt you switched the '69 and '70 buckets before you sent it to me. ? The '70 I have didn't have stock front seats when I got it so can't compare them. Now ,, I checked the MPC/AMT interior bucket in the AMT body I have. It's a hare narrower but nothing a couple strips of thin plastic on the outside of the window sills wouldn't take care of. Maybe bevel the front edge of the dash where it meets the windshield and it should go right in. The MPC/AMT chassis plate fits like it was made for it,, I'd dare say it fits this body better then the one it came with.
  11. Mike, I'll be checking the fit of an MPC interior and chassis plate to the AMT '69 I have a bit later and let everyone know how it goes as if they fit the '69, they'll fit the '70 body too. Could be an easy way for a workable [all be it slightly "custom"] '70 Mach 1 in 1/25.
  12. The AMT and MPC mustang kits ARE both 1/25 scale despite what everyone was lead to believe, it's just the MPC kit body seems to have been made a bit shorter to fit the older chassis. They are almost exactly the same width and height. When I was building my blue '70 seen earlier in this thread I was seriously considering using the MPC bumpers if I couldn't find suitable originals or resin copies. They were the same width and would have fit with a bit of minor sanding. In fact, I did have the front bumper sanded and fit to the AMT body.
  13. Super cool !!
  14. Assortment of odd parts thrown together. ? Bonus pic, , ,
  15. yea, there was an issue with a '40 Ford look.
  16. Yup you posted while I was looking for a pic but yes, your correct on both counts. Here's a pic of a stock '61 Caddy cap,,
  17. They did. The annual kits were based on the promo tooling. I always thought they looked dead on to me.
  18. That one is identical to my old one ,, only in MUCH better shape. And I think the lowrider crowd would buy out the production run just by themselves.
  19. In no order and I reserve the right to make changes and/or additions. Doug and the Slugs , , , Music for the hard of thinking Men at Work , , Business as Usual Rick Springfield , , , Living in Oz The Police , , , Ghost in the Machine and mentioned in another list, ABC , , ,The Lexicon of Love
  20. Matt, did you get "The Lexicon of Love II" the follow-up that came out in 2016? No radio hits as there's no songs on it written by and middle aged Swedes but a solid album in the same vein as the original.
  21. Well ain't that just lovely. Would have saved me a lot of work. ? [but it was still fun?]
  22. That sounds very encouraging. ?
  23. Steve, I guess there's not much chance that the rear bumper was narrowed so it fits properly, would there? It's not "that" bad but it should fit flush.
  24. The chassis from the earlier Firebirds is now under the '79 that was issued a few years ago. I think the Camaro chassis is identical but there may be some very small differences. I know the only way I could tell them apart was sometimes the color of the plastic. I have an original '73 Camaro and '74 Firebird I could check later if you like.
  25. Hecklefish fart.
