  1. OK. Personally, I can't un-see it but if you're happy with it, that's what matters.
  2. I have one in the stash I've been thinking about taking a run at since I now have a can of Tamiya racing white that's pretty close to Ford Wimbledon white to use on it.
  3. Big time on the early releases of the '55 but they were corrected for the '57 and all subsequent releases of the '55. If you compare the cab you have with the '57 cab in my pic below, you'll easily see how the sill of the side windows is much higher in the original kits. Might want to check the fit of the windshield also. Poor fit in some of the kits but I don't remember having a problem with the original release I built when it first came out. I did a bunch of work to make the one fit well in the '57 I'm currently building.
  4. Are you going to correct the side windows, Pat?
  5. I was laying in bed thinking about this last night. There's something I've been wanting to build for a few years now and even gathered the parts and decals for it so , if it's OK, I'd like to switch my entry to my , , , '74 Trans Am street racer. I do plan to pull the wheel openings slightly ALA the '71/'71 Chaparral Camaro Trans Am cars. BUT, this is intended to be primarily a street car that could be used at the track on the weekend if the opportunity presented.
  6. The problem with that is the '71 body is pretty well completely different then the '70. I don't think they share any body panels. That said, there were resin kits of the '71/'72 as well as 3D printed examples.
  7. Well, we know what happened to the Charger III, or at least the body. I could go for a Cougar or/and a Barracuda though. I already have a '66 Skylark and '71 Cyclone so I wouldn't be surprised to see either one announced within the year.
  8. It's been almost 3 months since the first announcement. Anyone heard anything yet?
  9. Looks like Bandit Resins. I thought Kenny did a 72 also but only see the '71 on his website.
  10. Not sure what you mean, I'm not seeing it. Body looks correct to me.
  11. Seeing as how the Revell Shelby and '69 Mustang kits share a lot of parts trees such as chassis and interior and that the last reissue of the Mustang, the Boss 302, had the chin spoiler included, I'd say it would be in any reissues of either kit going forward. They only need to include the strips on the decal sheet.
  12. ray's kits decals has a few sets with them.
  13. The interior is ready to install. The MCG photoetch set only came with 4 dash knobs but it needed 6. So I pirated a couple and an extra lock face for the glove box from another set. The instrument transparency came with the PE sheet.
  14. Humm, might have to throw my X-acto knife into the ring this year, if I may. I think a Revell '83 Olds 442 will do nicely. ?
  15. Hey guys, a fuel injection unit is pretty easy to make from an old tunnel ram manifold. Just use the bottom 1/2 with a plate of some kind on top, add an old carb as a throttle body and add injectors and fuel runner made from pieces of wire. Instant "fuel injection" unit. I've done this a couple times.
  16. Mike's right. Completely different kit. Nothing shared.
  17. Cool project Jeff. I have one of those to restore myself some day. ? I don't remember any up tops made for those. The one in the new tool AMT '62 might be modified to fit. I haven't tried it on a '64/'66 but I have on an original '63 and it might be cut down a bit to fit. , ,Too high in back.
  18. I just did the tail lights and 1/4 panel caps. The rest came from Model Car Garage , but as I said, they don't do the resin front parts any more. I have another one in the works. Been working on it off and on for over 10 years now, I guess. Seeing your work on your wagon has me thinking about getting it back out and finishing it up. Looking at the pics just now reminded me that I did send off a set of the parts to someone who was making a resin conversion kit. They did use my parts as a master for theirs. Darned if I can remember who it was now though. Just remembered that he was doing the corrected body for the Revell '90 Mustang coupe too.
  19. Yea. We didn't have an FM station here in Fredericton until around '80 or '81 ,, and then, IIRC, it was a country station. Mainstream rock/top 40 stations started within months though.
  20. That was me. I did the tail lights almost 20 years ago though and don't have any left. The front end came with the MCG photoetch set for the '69 Chevelle/Beaumont but it hasn't been included in the set for years either.
  21. Nice work. One of my uncles had a '65 2dr hardtop in the '70s. What part of Manitoba are you in?
  22. It's a transparent brown over the light gold.
  23. The '68 Buick Electra LTD. that's been in our family for 50 years has a factory AM/FM radio.
  24. I,ve seen this kit in 2 boxes. Fujimi kit but again, out of production.
