Just checked Gregg, sorry, all I could find was one good one, one with the spokes painted and one with the lip of the rim sanded off. The AMT wheels do look more like the ones in your first pic then the Boyds in the large pic. Another kit with similar wheels is the Monogram '55 Ford pickup. A bit larger diameter though.

I'll check and get back to you Gregg. Not sure I still have a set.

That's gonna be cool, Tom. The custom grille is from the AMT '62 Buick. Your friend did a great job on those tail lights.

Narrowed the rear axel. Might be a bit narrower then it needs to be but that's fine. It will work out so the springs mount up right against the frame. Here's a pic with another axel still on the sprue for comparison. -
Finally got the color and clearcoat on over the weekend.

It seems to me that saying the original sample disappeared and blaming that for not producing a kit already is kinda like saying the dog ate my homework but your homework was all done on a computer. ??

I think it looks great just like that. I wouldn't change a thing, Jim.

You have to be registered now to access the magazines though. I think it's free but haven't looked into it.

Just phenomenal, Steve. That's museum quality work for sure.

MPC did Pacer promos for '75 and I think later until '78 but I've only seen '75s. Pretty sure that's what you got there. Must have been tough cutting up that plastic, I bet it was pretty think in places. Never even got around to stripping mine, it's a '77. It won't be as wild as yours though. ? [ If I'm out of like posting these pics, please let me know and I'll delete them.]

The AMT '55 and '57 Chevy pickup street machine kits have some very similar wheels, Greg. I can check to see if I have some if you like.

The Revell and Monogram 1/24 scale mustangs are the same kits. There's probably a 1/2 dozen different '65/'66 Mustang kits between them. Should be pretty easy to find one. It'd be a lot easier to use the kit intended then modifying the resin to fit the smaller 1/25 kit.

67 AMT Camaro convertible question
Can-Con replied to hedotwo's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Yea, Would have been nice if he even responded to my e-mail but no go. I've still bought PE from him though as there's not a lot of alternatives. I had wanted to build the car from "Better Off Dead". -
67 AMT Camaro convertible question
Can-Con replied to hedotwo's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Hope it looks better then the set I got from them. The main "CAMARO" block letters for the fenders were , well, I guess short shot would be the best way to put it. There's 4 of them and not one was useable and a couple weren't there at all. I had e-mailed him about it but never heard back. -
Why does it show a '67/'68 car on the box but say it's for the '65/'66 kit? Is it designed to use the 1/24 Monogram '65/'66 Mustangs?

That's how the hit man gets paid for "wet work". He takes "The Job" and then puts something stupid on e-bay with a ridiculous price that happens to be how much he asks to do "The Job" You "buy now" the item for the ridiculous price in actuality paying for "The Job". All nice and clean and looks good on the books and if anyone happens to start asking questions.

Ever get e-mails saying they have naughty videos of you from your computer camera when you've never ever had a computer camera? ?

1968 Mercury M100
Can-Con replied to Chuck Most's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
That's pretty well it Kris. Here in Canada the GM dealers were broke down as "Chev/Olds/Caddy" and "Pontiac/Buick/GMC". -

"soary aboot yer hewse". ? ,,Really? pretty offensive there Chuck. Some of us find it funny, most are too polite to say how they really feel about it. , , ,Sorry, I shouldn't have said that. ?? Seeing how you work for a Canadian company, you should go into work tomorrow and greet your boss like that. ?? Anyway, nice build. The turbo is a nice touch. -
Exact same kit. The RoG kit probably has better decals and instruction sheet though. This is a newer tooling kit, so, no there isn't a better one.

Can-Con replied to jjsipes's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
FWIW, MPC '74 Challenger , , , I plan to get around to this one soon. AMT chassis with a 340. Black paint/argent around headlights and tail lights, white with black interior and white side strobe stripes. Have everything to do it, just need to get a start. ?
