  1. Um, yea. Seeing as you can't even say the word "C rap" on this site, I bet this thread doesn't last long. ?
  2. Just not feeling the other projects I have on the go right now so I'm going back to this one. started it about 13 years ago. The HOK candy root beer paint should be cured enough to polish out. LOL. I'm using the engine and underhood section from an AMT '57 Chrysler 300 custom kit. I think I'll use the F.I> intake and finned valley cover from the AMT '53 Ford pickup kit on it though instead of the dual quads. The roof and section behind the headlights are now painted white and it's ready for polishing and foil. The wheels shown in these pics may not be the final choice, more pics soon.
  3. I just taped mine up and sprayed it. Not exactly 100% accurate but looks fine to me.
  4. Got an Airfix DC-9 from them last year. No problem, got here a couple days early in fact.
  5. Other way around, Monty. It's an accurate '66 Olds 425 cid engine. Some of the kits did have CADILLAC script on the valve covers as it was shared ,along with the entire chassis with the Caddy Eldorado kits. Olds dissy in the back, Caddy in the front. The '70 Toro had a 455 engine but it was pretty well the same engine and looked mostly the same as the one in the kit.
  6. Thanks Monty, I has plenty of good help with that. ?
  7. Thanks again for the loan Curtis. It made things go much smoother. ?
  8. Thanks Mario. ?
  9. Thanks Brandon.
  10. Thanks Chad. The boots are the insulation stripped from some telephone wire. Just the right size to fit over the plug wire I use.
  11. Thanks Greg. I just went about it like it was a full size car and grafter in the openings from another car.
  12. Thanks James.
  13. Thanks Chris.?
  14. Thanks Harry. Yea, she was a bit rough to start with.
  15. Thanks Bob!
  16. Thanks Bob. I think I got really lucky with this one.
  17. Thanks Spike. ?
  18. Thanks Carl. Glad to see you're still around.
  19. Thankyou Eric.
  20. Thanks Michelle. ?
  21. Thanks rex, I had a feeling you'd like this one. ?
  22. Steve, any word on the retooled '65/'66 Mustang fastback?
  23. I see a lot of people wanting a "2 in" kit with both '71 and '72 parts. Front bumper/grille , back bumper and tail lights. Just want to point out, and it wouldn't really be a big deal but the pan under the rear bumper is different between '71 and '72 also. Don't know if anyone caught that or not.
  24. Always wanted an AMT '70 annual but they're bloody expensive, if you can find one. Lucked into this one in a trade with a great fellow builder [Mike Mackie AKA mk11] who took pity on me. LOL Pretty rough to start with. Hogged out wheel wells and missing a lot of parts. I used some parts from an MPC '70 and a Monogram 1/24 '70 and, most importantly, a resin front bumper front bumper from Ragtop Man. [Thanks again Bob] and the loan of a grille from Kelson [Thanks Curtis] So, here's a couple "before" pics,, , , And a year later , ,
