  1. A set like this works even better but are harder to work with too. IIRC, these are the ones I used on the models above.
  2. It depends on what photoetch ones you get. If you get the simple ones, yes they look flat. Get a good set that's multi piece that you have to bend up they look pretty good. These ones from Model Car Garage look pretty good if you use them the way they were intended.
  3. This is really cool Gareth. Rare to see a couple Charger annuals together like that. [I have a '69 and '70 myself] I think you should take the leftover custom parts and use them on one of the reissue '69s and paint it close to the color these were originally painted.
  4. I bet you haven't seen any of his stuff up close. It ain't as well done as shown on TV. BTW, just for Sh & giggles, I just checked out his setup on Google street view. He's actually standing out in the front yard in the pics! ?
  5. Yes, that "Bad" Chad Hiltz idiot from Nova Scotia. He just makes the rest of us Maritimers look bad. Believe me, most people from the Atlantic Provinces of Canada are definitely not like that. ?

That's pretty neat steve. Must be a tiny motor to fit into the block. I think some of the more knowledgeable Mopar guys will tell you that's a 426 wedge, not a 440 but they all look about the same to me.?
  7. Hope that's at least after taxes, Curtis. My local shop here in Fredericton has it for 46.50 + tax.
  8. It can but the seats and dash would be different.
  9. Dig 'em out guys. The more, the merrier, as they say.?
  10. Yes, the front end is quite different. I doubt most people would know the difference though. '67,, ,, and a '70. if you want to edit your post, just klik on the three little squares at the top right corner of your post and it will give you a couple options, including the "edit" option. ?
  11. This is definitely making me rethink this kit. The box art build really hides the potential of the kit
  12. Yes, this one will be close to stock. I will be doing another one in the future that well be a full custom on a '66 Riviera chassis.
  13. Looks great Gareth. I have a '72 annual I restored in almost the same color.
  14. Ok, so, I made some progress this afternoon. EasyOff wouldn't touch the paint. Tried to strip it years ago with no luck so I tried some %99 rubbing alcohol on a paper town and with a little rubbing I had it mostly stripped in about an hour. A couple more before pics with the Modelhaus bumpers. And clean enough for primer, which it's in now.
  15. Can't believe I've been holding onto this one for almost 25 years. Where does the time go? ? Anyway, seems to be a few people on here having way too much fun working on these old E-body Caddys, so I had to have some fun too. I am planning a full custom one in the future. The bumpers for that one are not back from being re-plated yet so I dug this one out in the meantime. This one will be mostly stock as the body's pretty nice aside from a couple tire marks. Got new bumpers for it from Modelhaus years ago. I was originally going to redo it in candy root beer over a gold base but the very dark blue [looks grey or black in the pics] has kinda grown on me. I have a bottle of a very dark navy blue pearl nail polish that I'm going to use on it instead and save the candy drown for the full custom.
  16. Well I'd just call it cool. One thing though, that's a '70, not a '67 ,, unless you have plans to change it to a '67?
  17. John, since your title says "Gender Inquiry" instead of "Fender Inquiry" , possibly no one wants to open a post with such a hot topic title? BTW, I identify as "angry white middle age male". ?
  18. Well, thank you. Reading over the mods you planned, it sounds pretty cool.
  19. Here ya go. This one spent some time in Japan though where some Japanese Cowboys had their way with it. Lowering kit, bigger turbo etc. My cousin Phil was importing mini trucks from Japan at the time and brought this back. I could have had it for $6K cdn.
  20. Humm, sounds like that must have been "canyon coral".
  21. Steve, I'm glad to see you're keeping the factory dash. One thing I could never get strait with myself with other people building a custom car is them swapping out the dash for something else., especially on older cars. I know if I built a custom, I'd keep the original dash because It's part of the personality of the car. Back in the '80s, it was a popular to swap in a Monte Carlo, S-10 or other modern [at the time] dash. The way I figured it, if I wanted to look out over a Monte or S-10 dash when I'm driving, I would drive a Monte or S-10. Sorry about rambling on. ?
  22. She would have been 55 in a little over 2 weeks, Feb,1, same birthday as mine. But, yea, I thought she was a year older then that.
