  1. If so, that would certainly save me some cash, as there's no way I would ever buy one.
  2. The weather here today is actually pretty nice (no rain), so a good day for doing some yard work.
  3. It turns out that after the move, most of my parts for the already started kits are,... who knows where, so it looks as if I'll have to start fresh, at least until all the missing parts can be located, assuming they're ever located. To that end, I'll be starting this ICM Mustang, as at least it is 100% complete; still in sealed bags in fact. I haven't yet chosen a scheme, so I'll begin searching for that right now. The ICM kit appears to be quite nice, and I believe can be built either as a B or C model. (Oddly enough, kit gives two different markings, but there's only an illustration of one of the two for decal placement. It also seems that a C model, cannot be built from this kit, so it looks like a B it shall be, so to speak.) Well, here are the prop templates (11'-2" diameter), for the Mustang. I'll also be making a matching mask to spray blades, as I always seem to muck that up when I do it freehand. All in all, I'm fairly impressed with the ICM kits; pretty good detailing, fine recessed lines and (where appropriate), rivets. I ran into a very good deal on about twenty of these a few years back, and I've been completely satisfied with every one. Perfect for ceiling queens, that's for sure.
  4. I worked up there (in Quincy) several years ago for a few months, large factory, but I forget the name. Nice little town.
  5. Saw a pretty sweet '66 Chevelle today (at least I think it was a '66),... arrest me red, and stock wheels.
  6. That copper one looks pretty cool.
  7. The Cicadas are playing their song here in the evenings lately, and I find it very relaxing.
  8. Good point, Harry. I'm going on the assumption that common sense should be the rule of the road, showing courteousness to those we may disagree with, or avoiding them altogether. Me too. Better safe than sorry. I like it too much here to get myself banned for being stupid.
  9. Those look very interesting, so thanks for the link. I'll have to give them a try. Yes. Not cheap, by a long shot, but may well be worth it.
  10. Another option is to get one of the multi sided fingernail buffers, and work it over with that, followed by the Novus system.
  11. Thanks. Color looks great too.
  12. It seems to work for me, albeit with the usual limitations.
  13. Yep, that works great. Thanks.
  14. I'm looking forward to some cigars. I've never had a real Cuban, but look forward to the experience.
  15. Looks good. What kit was used?
  16. A couple of years back, I left my car out from under the carport (a rare occasion), owing to some construction material that I stored there that day. Wouldn't you know it, we had the worst hail storm that I can ever remember seeing, and my car was dented from one end to the other. Windshield is still cracked in fact, as I haven't had the funds available to have it replaced.
  17. My brother lived in a suburb of Cleveland for many years, and the deer population there did several (estimated) hundreds of thousands of dollars damage annually, including damaged cars from collisions with them.
  18. I don't see it either. Perhaps it just hasn't been made available again with the software upgrade. I don't see where you have a warning point, but I'll take your word that you do. I suspect the rules are typical of most forums though, and the thread that you refer to above, was created in 2012, so those rules were available for a very long while. I'm not sure if this helps you or not.
  19. Nice fix. I'll have to keep this in mind for my own effort.
  20. I'll have to read your W.I.P. on this one. I just liked the kit as it reflects the configuration of dragsters when I first started attending the races. There are dozens of rear engined dragster kits it seems, but few of the top fuel front engined variety from this specific era.
  21. Glad to see this one unlocked. It's a really nice job, and you should be very pleased, I would be if it were mine.
  22. Now the padlock is black, that's the only difference that I see.
