  1. I have another car coming along nicely and it should be finished fairly soon (I hope), so decided to grab another and give it a start. I frequently sit at my computer and dabble with model parts and pieces, so that's what I'll be doing here as well; it helps to kill the time. All in all, this kit looks pretty sharp, at least to me. I'll be going curbside, as is my natural tendency, so I'll have the engine and stuff left over to use on something else later.
  2. I've seen some real nice aftermarket fans. That's the route I'd take, but that's just me.
  3. With wheel well inserts now ground back, headers clear just fine.
  4. Fresh paints and decals arrived today, so I'm definitely on the march here.
  5. Those carbs above look just great. I'd never heard of Fireball before, but he'll certainly be getting some of my money now.
  6. I do much the same; get an idea in my head, start, then change it.
  7. Thanks. The color just seems to go well with the car.
  8. I like that color. What paint is it?
  9. Another cool idea.
  10. I like it.
  11. Indeed they do, and may well finally be releasing the F-100F later this year. (I'm primarily an aircraft modeler that just also dabbles in cars from time to time.)
  12. Right, the -102, -106 and -101 Voodoo have never been done yet, not as injection molded kits anyway, whereas the rest of the Century series has been. I have a real "thing" for the -102 though, and strongly suspect we may well see one in the next couple of years.
  13. This just arrived this morning. Now if someone would just release a 1:32 F-102,...
  14. I like the car and I like the way you built it.
  15. Real nice looking Battleship. Some of the Caddy's were so huge. I like it.
  16. I like the new iteration better too.
  17. Here's a photo of the half-eaten axle I discussed elsewhere on the site.
  18. Body looks excellent. I wish mine would turn out as nice.
  19. I owned several Challenger die-casts at one point, but eventually got rid of all of them (I may have hung onto one, but can't verify that right now). Regardless, I'd still like to have a model that I could build myself. Doing the mishmash using the Monogram/Revell and AMT kit, is looking more and more not doable, at least not if I want it done right. As far as I recall, this was three T/As and two R/Ts.
  20. I did something tonight that I had really dreaded doing, scribing the fender join lines on my Willlys. Once I figured out what to use as a straightedge, it was actually a snap. They still need to be cleaned up, but they are actually very straight right now. I'm a happy guy.
  21. I really, really wish Round 2, Revell or someone, would do a new '70 Challenger R/T. I'd probably buy a case of those.
  22. With hood opening now widened a tad (roughly 1/8"), blower and scoop fit just fine. Now I've noticed that the headers hit the fender well inserts, so those will now need to be "adjusted" as well. There's also a bit of crud stuck inside the scoop opening, but I'll get rid of that shortly enough.
  23. This just arrived today, traded from Kevin (Khils) makes four that I now have. I just love this car to death.
  24. These were brand new axles from the Willys kit, with no rust at all, at least not until now. I'll try to grab a photo, it's sort of amazing, really.
