  1. I like it.
  2. Very nice. My favorite (as far as the cars are concerned), was the silver and blue metallic '40 something car, perhaps Ford? Looked real nice.
  3. That's one thing I've been very guilty of so far, not planning ahead. I have a '71 GTX almost ready for paint too, but the hood area needs to be scribed, as it's going to look terrible if I paint it the way it is now. Had I taken the time to do it right to begin with, I'd be painting it now.
  4. Reminds me of an old station wagon I used to own (Dodge Dart). I had old sheets for "curtains" and a second hand mattress. I used to take it to the drive-in, park backwards, and lay in the back, watching movies. Good stuff.
  5. I can't really help with chassis detailing, as I haven't done any, and may not even ever bother.
  6. You refer to limited skills. I don't think there's anyone here that's more green than I am. I joined here a little over a year ago, and have already messed up about four paint jobs. I'm slowly getting better (I think), but I'm in no rush, and I don't feel that I have to compete with anybody, so I'm just trying to learn at my own pace, hopefully creating something I'm happy with in the process.
  7. The GTO is already on my list, but I'll certainly add the Mustang. Thanks.
  8. It's got to be MTM, Mary Tyler Moore.
  9. Those were so great. Those and the big Bazooka sticks.
  10. Interesting, as I use Testors exclusively so far, though today I just ordered my first can of Tamiya (Cobalt Green). I'm anxious to try it.
  11. Eight of the names provided above by Matt were from the Revell Muscle series, the rest being all Motor City Muscle, StreetBurners or Revell Muscle, but without the pistons. There was even one Monogram Muscle that I stumbled across. I'll amend my own list shortly.
  12. I found it in the StreetBurners series, but not the Revell Muscle series.
  13. That's a very nice color. I'll have to remember that one for something I have in mind.
  14. Looks pretty cool to me.
  15. Nothing started 10 years ago, but everything I've started in the last year remains unfinished, but I hope will be,... one day.
  16. I found a skate key while rummaging in my garage one day. It stopped me in my tracks and transported me back to a better time.
  17. OK, fellas, this is Claire Trevor, probably from pre-"Key Largo" days.
  18. I agree, 100%
  19. OK, it's been a while. This chubby cheeked little girl, is none other than Hedy Lamarr.
  20. I did a very similar scheme on a Ju 88A-4. Yours looks real nice.
  21. Speaking of work, the last two bodies I've painted, the hood area ended up being very problematic, so I'm tweaking this one for the absolute best fit I can get, before primer and paint. As you can see, it still needs some work.
  22. Thanks a bunch. I'm looking real forward to spraying some color on this beast, but still have some work to do to the body.
  23. You may or may not be aware, but several companies make woodgrain decals, primarily for WWI aircraft modelers, but wood is wood, and the wood decals might just look excellent on this.
  24. This really looks great. I really miss my old '75.
  25. Interesting, thanks. I'll have to sort out which are the Revell Muscle versions, as those are the ones that interest me at the moment. It's also odd, but when I Googled Revell Muscle myself, the list above (mine) is about all that I saw.
