  1. This is really shaping up very nicely; very classy.
  2. This looks great. I like the color combo quite a lot.
  3. Surprisingly, while it doesn't look all that much different, second (wet) color coat was applied today. Now color density seems to be very much more uniform.
  4. Thanks, Joe. I like the color too, quite a lot. Yep, kitchen table. When I moved from my house to here, I had to give up my man cave. Over this winter though, I'll be building an 8' x 10' L-shaped bench in the basement, incorporating a built-in paint booth, so that I can return to a more appropriate hobby environment. I've already designed and drawn it up in AutoCAD, specifically to fit the space available for it.
  5. Looks good to me. And I'm the same, three or four in a row that all had issues, but I feel that I'm getting the hang of it now, or at least hope so.
  6. Charger receives the first of at least two color coats. Uniformity is not quite "there", so an additional coat will be applied very soon.
  7. I'm really looking forward to seeing some color on this one.
  8. Yep, I was a kid once too, and I remember it with great fondness.
  9. I believe you'll need to use the full editor option.
  10. It's hard to go wrong with Mopar muscle, at last as far as I'm concerned.
  11. Off and on, I've been doing some electrical work in the basement. Today I finished installing the last of the receptacle boxes and conduit (phase 1), and that makes me very happy indeed.
  12. It's not a fun thing. A few years ago, I blew out a disc in my spine, busted wide open like a runny egg. My Sciatic nerve got involved, and I had the same mostly sleepless nights for about two years. I saw a neurologist monthly for about six months, then slowly it began to heal. I still have "issues" from time to time, but mostly all better now. Get well, I'm sure it'll turn out OK.
  13. I haven't read through all nine pages, so forgive me if it's already been asked, but what colors do you intend to use on the body, or have you given that any thought?
  14. Thanks a bunch, Joe. I really took more time on this one than I had been. There are one or two tiny issues to be dealt with (tomorrow probably), then it's paint time. I anticipate the Star Spangled Blue looking very complimentary on this car.
  15. It does appear to be, and it also looks to be representative of the P-38M, but without the P-38M specific parts. Were they not included in the box, I wonder? I built the same kit many, many years ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it, same with the Mosquito. In fact I have another Monogram/Revell Mosquito mostly finished right now, destined to be a ceiling queen.
  16. Thanks, Joe. Perhaps I'll actually finish this one; I certainly hope so anyway. OK, so I finally I have primer on this baby (been working on other projects), and hope to start painting very, very soon. Still a few tiny boo boo’s to repair, then it’s paint time!
  17. I'm confused by this, I'm taking about Hobby Lobby. When you said they, who were you referring to, Tom?
  18. I was just at the local HL yesterday, and they had some cool automotive stuff that I'd not seen there before. All reproductions and new stuff of course, but pretty cool anyway.
  19. And once again a good buddy decided that he'll never build this, so he gave it to me. At one time I had two of these kits, as well as the Hobby Boss example, but I have no real idea whatever happened to them.
  20. And another for my small, but growing, pile of car models. HL, 40% off.
  21. Some more of my misc car stuff.
  22. If I won the lottery (and I figure the odds on that are about the same as getting hit by a comet), I'd buy a very large house, with a nice deep basement where I could build my dream hobby room (as well as a drum room to house the massive set I'd also be buying), and a home theater room, huge kitchen and pool room, mahogany paneled. Cars, maybe a really tricked out '69 SS396 convertible, '70 Challenger R/T, brand new GMC Yukon, as well as a large pickup truck.
  23. Nice. I have the Monogram RF-101B to get to one of these days. Your kit looks good.
