  1. I was actually under the impression that the '54 fastback was going to be a 2-in-1 kit with the junior stock option. Obviously I was wrong. But I agree completely with James. I just don't see either of the single-version kits setting the world on fire sales-wise.
  2. Bad to the bone! I love it!
  3. Revell's '48 Ford kits are some of my all-time favorites (I, too, loved the custom version) so I am super stoked to get one of these.
  4. Truthiness. Rodders have been using SBCs as power sources for what, more than 60 years now? IMO, an SBC trimmed out with vintage speed accessories looks as cool between the rails of a rod as anything.
  5. While I have no insider info like Tim does, my guess would be that Revell concluded that there are enough rodded flatheads available in kit from that anyone who wants to use one in one of the Model A kits can make that swap themselves. And it's an easy swap to make. Personally, I'm glad Revell decided to do this kit with an SBC.
  6. I have to be honest ... the stripe scheme is a bit over the top for my tastes. But, thats just me. You did a great job on this build.
  7. Turned out very nice! One suggestion, if I may ... grab yourself a sheet of Bare-Metal Foil and learn how to use it. Adding chrome trim to your models makes a world of difference in terms of realism.
  8. it's an old MPC kit. It can't be reissued because MPC butchered the molds to produce the "Barnabas Vampire Van."
  9. I've done recent deals with Ken Krawiec (BIGTRUCK), Jeff Ford (jeffdeoranut) and Jamie Senvisky (RT6pk) and all three rocked! Thanks, guys!
  10. I'm looking forward to this one. Very pleased that Round 2 has restored it to true 2-in-1 status. My hope would still be, though, that one day the company would see fit to retool the missing Ala Kart parts.
  11. Steve, you're a very talented builder, but, with all due respect, the Ventura glass fit issue is far worse than that. The kit's glass pieces and the openings on the body both require major work in order for the glass to fit correctly. No bash on Moebius; simply the truth.
  12. I'm diggin' the colors, too! What paints did you use?
  13. The two coupes and the Olds are must-haves for me! I wonder what, if any, changes the Camaro kit might receive to make it a "Special Edition?"
  14. PowerPlant and fshoemake are both great guys to deal with. I would trade with either again without hesitation.
  15. i agree. IMO, Moebius needs to address the glass issue and correct it so the other other kits planned to be produced from this tooling won't have the same problem,. But I'm betting that won't happen because Moebius knows people will buy the kids regardless.
  16. Looks nice! The only change I'd make would be to shorten the roll hoop a bit ... It looks a little too tall to my eye.
  17. It's a perfect two-time scheme for a lowrider, which is what this car is. Nice job!
  18. Just ordered mine from Tower Hobbies ... $24.95 with free shipping, which Tower is offering through 12/31. Best deal I've found on them by far.
  19. Looks really good. The only things I might have done differently is omitted the wheel trim rings and the beltline trim. That would have added to the base-model look
