Giving honest truckers a bad name
gatorincebu replied to Superpeterbilt's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Someone said here earlier"distracted driver" .I rode a motorcycle when I was in the States. And anyone that rides can attest to this.It is not a comfortable feeling to be on the Interstate cruising along in the middle or right lane. When someone passes you on the right or possibly the left going way over the speed limit while texting, or the soccer Mom reaching over the back seat to do something with one of the rugs rats.I even had people try to take pictures of me while driving. The other side of that coin is the bikers that drink and ride! And I knew a bunch of them. I would not ride with a lot of them. Hey it is illegal to drink while driving, that means coffee or any other beverage. That this Professional driver was under the influence is a sad state of affairs. Some of the laws we have today are the result of drivers using drugs to stay awake!!! You don't need more laws! You need responsible people!!! Be Well Gator -

Nice build. You are lucky that it survived life and that you still have it. Are you going to rebuild it, or restore it? I believe tat Jerry has the Turnpiker decals set? Be Well Gator -

Fortunately for the Biker he survived, but at what cost?As for the trucker??? This will most likely cost him time in prison and loss of his CDL/ drivers license . Not to mention having to pay damages! Be Well Gator -

Well at least you are building models. The larger work place will come with time. Thanks for sharing this with us. Be Well Gator Jesus, I feel for you amigo. So when are you going to get those models unpacked and show them to us? I know all too well the hazards of moving. In three years I moved 9,000 plus miles from Florida to the Philippines. And since then have moved house three times. I am now finally getting things sorted and arranged the way I want them.Hope to be back at the workbench by the end of August. Be Well Gator

Mark, You have captured my full attention with this build. And I like what I see here thus far. The combination of aftermarket parts is also interesting. And somewhat similar to what I have in mind for this model. So I will be following this thread closely! Be Well Gator -
Accurate, Modern US Trailer Kits?
gatorincebu replied to vincen47's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Another questions is . What tractors are you planning on building? Aside from the two from Moebius. Or possibly some resin .I do not know of much that qualifies as modern? So let's be a bit more specific for the sake of conversation. What time period are you talking about? I read what you are saying as like stuff from the last ten or fifteen years?? Be Well Gator -
