Lol Reminds me of omy last wife in a way. While she supported my hobby. She often made those snide little comments under her breath. I ussually never heard them or understood what she was saying ( I am hearing impaired , she said I had selective hearing. That I heard what I wanted to hear?? ) :-) ) I always told her" At least you know where I am, and that I am not out in the bars or opn the street chasing women!!". Be Well Gator -

gatorincebu replied to gatorincebu's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Thanks Ken, I will be getting these models out soon and unless they need a major overhaul. I will fix them and take some more photos. -
Building models on a tight budget can be frustrating and challeneging! But I learned a long time ago. To always budget a little money for your self. For your hobby or whatever. I worked hard all my life, and most of the time lived pay check to paycheck. And I did buy things for the models even when the budget was tight. but you have to enjoy life and for me models is a great way to do that. Now that I am retired. I amdoing better but still try to live within a set budget. And yes that includes things for the hobbies . You seem to be having a hard time trying to justify to everyone what you are building and why. I suggest you build for yourself satisfaction and personal enjoyment. Build what you want ,how you want it. Be Well Gator

Mike, I just joined here a month or so ago. So I don't have any build threads going on. And I started that kit some time back . I do have some old b uild posted in the under glass section. I am in the process of painting cabin ets and shelving units. In order to sort out all my models and parts and stuff.. It will ,ost likely be the end of April before I am ready to work on a model again. But that kit is if I remember correctly well molded and the fit of the parts is pretty good. lots of room for detailing. As eveidenced by that video. Depending on what color you want to paint. The red plastic may be a problem. Be Well Gator -

Sean, Real nice work thus far! I really like your exhaust piping, good job on that. That black paint job looks good as well. Have you thought about which trailer you will put behind it? I think a drop deck would look good! ??? be Well Gator -

Thanks Will, I had a good time building trucks. When I built thesse I was working on the midnight shift . I actually went on a building spree and did several models over the space of two months. As I would stay up on my nights off and work on models all night long. I am working on getting things ready to set up my new work bench area. I may get into some all night sessions again. As my GF maybe working online at night as well. Right now it is summer time here and it does get hot during the day. But it cools off nicely at night. Be Well Gator -
