  1. Mike, thank you, although those brochures don't answer this specific question the do a nice job of showing the fuel line routing to and from the fuel pump and the are cool to look at. Art, thank you, I believe it was your story I read about the cross country trip in a Hudson with the family sleeping on the custom platform in the back seat? I think this will get me going in the right direction, I'm doing the interior in tan so I will do the dash the same and the steering wheel in white.
  2. The pictures I've found on the internet are a little confusing. Are the dash and steering wheel the interior color or the body color? I've seen pictures that seem to indicate it could go either way. Is black a safe bet all around for the steering wheel?
  3. Looks good as usual.
  4. Very cool, I like it.
  5. Really nice, I like it.
  6. My LHS hasn't had any in some time, I too tried to get some from Model Roundup with my last order but they were out of stock. I am expecting a delivery from HobbyLinc http://www.hobbylinc.com/plastic-models this week. I just checked and they still show it in stock at $6.34 a sheet.
  7. Pretty cool Chuck, I like it.
  8. I keep coming back and looking at this, these replicas of personal cars are my favorite builds. Have you got anymore shots with that dog chewed interior?
  9. Agreed, even if it's a subject that doesn't interest me I always enjoy looking at your builds. Well done on another great build.

  12. Very cool, I like it.
  13. Agreed, and I have had good results spraying Testers wet look clear over this same paint, and I have sprayed it on bare styrene with no primer with good results. This paint does react poorly to Duplicolor clear.
  14. Looks really good, I'm just starting this one and was trying to figure out how the trim ran down the sides, all that hard work makes a great reference for me, thank you.
  15. Thanks Mike
  16. Thanks Carl
  17. Thank you Gene
  18. Thanks Mike
  19. Thanks Mike
  20. Very nice, I like everything about it.
  21. Genius, I never thought of this!
  22. This is the Revell 2n1 kit. Despite the shortcomings of the kit it built up just fine in my opinion, I'm happy the way it turned out. I added flocking, BMF, homemade decals, Morgan Automotive Details distributor, Detail Master wire looms, and parts pack tires. The pvc hose, and fuel line are small and smaller paper clips, the heater hose is the wire that one of my kids toys was welded to the plastic package in, and the antenna is guitar string. The paint is Duplicolor over Krylon primer with duplicolor clear. I elected not to go crazy with the clear or to polish it to try to keep that 70's factory finish rather than a super slippery show car shine. I also printed out a copy of one of the movie posters for the display case. Of course I just noticed while posting this that I forgot to paint the running lights amber. Here's the WIP,http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/105420-vanishing-point-challenger-update-9142015/ . Thanks for looking and as always let me know what you think.
  23. The chassis and the body on this Revell kit don't match up too well. After ensuring the window unit was seated all the way, and the interior was also seated all the way, the chassis plate hung down about 1/8 below the body. I shaved a bit off the bottom of the rear window and that brought everything up a little. I then bent the tabs on the back of the interior tub and shaved them down some for another small gain. Then a shaved as much as I dared off the mating surfaces of the interior tub and chassis plate until it came correct. The distributor is in and I printed a copy of one of the movie posters for the display box. I am moving this over to under glass now ( http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/105808-vanishing-point-challanger/ ). Thanks for looking and for all the kind words and encouragement.
  24. Ha! I just mentioned in your post with the 48 chevy how I would like to see more of this and here it is! Thanks for posting, it looks great.
  25. That's a good looking chevy and I'm not trying to derail the topic but I would like to see more of that truck in the back.
