  1. Had to detour around the block and up the alley to the lot because comcast had the end by the lot blocked. A guy was hauling stuff to the alley from a vacant house and I saw the headstock sticking out of a barrel. I asked the guy about it and he said it just junk left by a tenant over a year ago. I asked if I could take it and he pulled it out and said "would you give 10 for it so I bought it. Was filthy. Cleaned it up put a string where one was missing, tuned it and it sounds better than my Squire Strat Afinity does! Super low action too! Never seen a Cort with that style headstock before?
  2. It was a white over blue hardtop. White interior.
  3. The surgeon told me the limitations I will have, but the rotator cuff is so bad if they do the conventional one I would be back in a couple years to do it this way. My left one is bad too.
  4. Got the blue done today, just need the silver color along the bottom below the trim.. Don't know if I'll get it done soon. Go next month for a reverse shoulder replacement surgery .
  5. Everything spelled SS except for trim and badging! The build sheet showed the 396 was factory installed.
  6. Building a replica of one I owned in the late 70's when we lived in Wisconsin. Will be a metallic blue with whinvoice. It is a car the boys at Team Chevelle said never existed but I had the factory paperwork and dealer invoice. Was a Malibu with a 396 4 speed.
  7. It was a 21st Century Toys kit. I remember seeing these pre-painted partially assembled. in stores years back.
  8. Didn't do a whole build thread on it as wasn't really impressed with the kit. Was like a screw together promo. Couldn't find decal paper as most of the kit decals fell apart so painter the meatballs. Used Elmers Rubber Cement to stick down the paper templates. Had a minimal amount of bleed that was easily touched up.
  9. Found three dead squirrels in the yard Saturday evening. Called a friend that is a game warden, and she came out and took them in to be tested. Called just a bit ago and it appears they were poisoned with peanuts. I strongly dislike the little rats with fuzzy tails but would never do something like that. Only way I ever killed one was in the woods with a .22 rifle out of a tree and then it became dinner! Haven't done that since I was a kid.
  10. She pretends to sleep but she is just waiting for me to get up so she can claim my recliner!
  11. Need a piece about 3X5 inches.
  12. Really proud of this young Marine! On to infantry shcool.
  13. Go check my wife into the Mayo clinic and say fix what you can and if there is anything left then I'll let them have a look at myself!

  17. I assumed (my bad) that they used the same frame in both kits. Dug out the 57 and this is what you need!
  18. These look like what you need? Any thing else you need from the 56?
  19. Did not get an allowance. At 10 started mowing lawns around town pulling the lawnmower around with my Spyder Bike! Shovelled snow in the winter. By 11 I started working for the farmers, walking beans and putting up hay. By 13 I started working in the factory my grandma worked at nights unloading box cars and loading trucks, by hand. Even was occasionally put to work on the knife cutting foam cushions. I was buying my own clothes, and this was how I bought my guitars and drum set.
  20. It is the old school kit with all the opening parts. Had one when it originally came out that never got finished. Fire crackers took it out. Traded for this one but it was incomplete so parted it out to a couple members here a long time ago. I'll dig it out and if the piece is there it's yours!
  21. Are the ones on the 56 the same? I have a 57 but it is an almost complete kit.
  22. What you interested in?
