  1. The Black Widow I recently dug this one out of a moving box that I built several years ago. I started with Big Daddy Roth’s Beatnik Bandit. I removed the front fenders. I then scratch built the front grill housing, headlights and added the grill. I also made the rear tail lights from red sprue, which I sanded and polished. The seats came from the Lil Coffin and the dash from the Ice Cream Truck. The tires, wheels, engine and exhaust came from the parts box. Painted rattlecan black and lacquered. Thanks for looking and I hope you like it. I am open for suggestions on how to remove the dust. I had just cleaned the model before I took the pics. Dave
  2. Good to have you here Ronald! I recently moved to Arizona from Hunterdon County NJ. There are two nice model shows. Look for the Super September Showdown in Boyertown, PA - https://autocarshow.events/carshows/super-september-showdown/ I've been going there for many years. Also NNL East in Wayne NJ. This is a great show! I really miss going to these shows. There is also a huge car show in Macungie, Pa every August. In fact its this August 14th. https://happeningnext.com/event/46th-annual-collector-car-show-andamp-flea-market-eid3a08m05wvw Happy modelling! Dave
  3. Thanks Pat! That must have been quite an experience servicing the pumpjacks there. Dave
  4. Good question! The TD van has been originally altered in quite a few ways. I may alter the trailer side door windows to match the TD van. Neither the tow van nor the trailer will have front doors.
  5. Thanks The handrails are solid styrene rods and the mounts are tubing that I sanded down. I drilled holes in the bed edge and slid the rod inside.
  6. Beautiful work! Perfect paint and great interior. Dave
  7. I did a bit of bodywork and put on the suspension and wheels (they need a bit more adjusting). Working on the interior of the camper now-no pics yet.
  8. Beautiful work! That's one big pickup. I love that gun in the back.
  9. Nice color combo! I will put this Stude on my list to get.
  10. Here you go. The next pics will be in the Under Glass section.
  11. Looking great! I love that interior. My brothers first car was a '67 Camaro SS. I think he paid $1200 back in '72. I wish he still had it!
  12. I primed the body and puttied and its ready for another coat of primer, I also installed the engine. I decided to use the baby moons for the wheels (unless I find something better). Thanks for looking. Dave
  13. I added a hatch to get to the engine. A VW engine wouldn’t fit so I used a Corvair 6 banger instead.
  14. I found some seats to recycle and a home made dash from styrene and dash parts. I will need to putty all the imperfections in the dash. Dave
  15. Ksnow, I had seen that online. It’s really cool. I like how the bug can turn around while it’s attached to the trailer.
  16. Espo, thanks for the heads up on the pic in this mag I will check it out.
  17. Thanks for all you kind comments! I am looking forward to this challenge.
  18. My friend sent me this pic of a VW van pulling a VW camper. I have had a couple VW van models that I had been thinking on what to do with them for a coupe years. After I saw his email with the pic that sealed it! The pic: Of course I will be adding my own touches. After about an hour or so I had this. It was made from the Tom Daniels Baja Beast. The other van (not shown) is a 23 window partial glue bomb. Thanks for looking and I hope you like it. All constructive criticism welcome. Dave
  19. Nice work! I love that color. Looking forward to the finish line!
  20. You could cut out a Vee in the center of the hood but not all the way to the front and clamp it back together. Then add some half round for the ridge.
  21. Beautiful work. That paint is flawless! I was at the Desert Classic show and somehow I missed this model. Dave
  22. I put in a few more hours on this. I scratch built the rails and they just need to be chromed. I also painted the boom and added the chain and hook. Thanks for looking Dave
