Thanks for the comments! It was a fun little build.

I had started a few builds a couple years ago, so I decided to finish them. One was the bike hauler I built using a broken electric stapler of which I posted earlier.I also started this one with The Beatnik Bandit. I love the BB!! I removed the middle section and added the indented side panels. I also re-designed the front and rear ends to reflect a teardrop. I used the seat and door panels from the BB. I used the engine scoops from Grandpa Munsters dragster and stuffed in a V6 . I added the headrest and exhaust pipes. Thanks to my wife naming it after a Praying Mantis we saw in the yard,.Thanks for looking and I hope you like it.Dave

I did three builds for my imagined bike shop - Psyches Custom Psycles and this is the second build. I started with a broken electric stapler I got from work. It had some nice lines and curves on it.I cut off some of the bottom of the stapler body and used an old resin 1950 Ford truck cab. Scratch built the frame, exhausts, sign, cut a rear door and hinged it, used stained, sealed wooden coffee stirrers for the bed floor. I had an old parts pak Triumph and scratch built the entire front forks with handlebars. Scratch built the seat, oil tank, exhausts. On the Panhead I scratch built the gas and oil tanks, rear fender and handle bars.I kept the theme of Psyches Custom Psycles from another build I did a few years ago. The truck was very challenging but no where near as difficult as the Triumph. The bikes are so small I needed 5x glasses. Thanks for looking and I hope you like it.DaveThis is what the stapler looked like.

Nice take on that sled! I wonder if that would fit in a standard garage? -
Open top and you kept the fastback - nice touch!

Very nice work and great detail! You can't go wrong with a muscle car!

The Illusion I took a ’58 Tbird rear end and the body part that circled the interior of the Futura added a modified Corvette hood, the pontoons from a Formula One racing boat and scratch built wings. I also used many different parts to make the interior and of course mucho puttying and sanding. Thanks for looking and I hope you like it. I used a metallic silver basecoat and fogged the rear in flat black. Then I used a pearl green over that. The pearl green took lightly on the silver but got darker green when on the flat black. The finished Illusion ~

Nice! I don't think I was doing that good at that age. It's so nice to see a younger generation getting into model building. Keep up the great work!

Thanks all of you for your nice comments. This was about an 80 hour build. I wish I owned a 1:1 of this!

This is one of my favorite TV shows.I started with a 1950 Ford F1 pickup, the actual Sanford & Son truck is a 1952. I changed the front grill but not the front hood. weathered the paint, hand painted the logo. Thanks for looking and I hope you like it.

I'm not sure when the last time I posted on this site. I wanted this project to be a combination of an American, European, modern and old school vehicle.I cut off the rear of the 1936 Mercedes (Rommels Rod)and the rear of the Porsche (1955 Speedster). Then I combined the Porsche rear to the Mercedes front. The body is old European, the engine and suspension are from the Dodge Viper - modern American, the interior is all modern AmericanToo many scratch built pieces to list.A few are:wheels, from 12 piecesFront bumper from 6 piecesdoor panels all scratch builtchassis 95% scratch builtShe's all done - I would like to officially call her Blue DreamThanks for looking and I hope you like it.

I recently joined this forum and this is my first post. I found a resin ’55 Mac cab, hood and grill at a show. It sat for a couple years. I realized that the Mack truck model was out of my price range so I decided to Frankenstein it. I hope you Mack enthusiasts don’t cringe. I bought a Peterbuilt model at Michaels with a 50% off coupon and used the frame, wheels and engine. I scratch built many parts to fit. I wanted itg to be a car hauler for a bubbletop car that I redesigned. I am using a clear plastic egg for the bubble on the truck. I made the front fenders from a 1941 Ford. I cut them and added pieces to extend then to fit. I also lowered the front and scratchbuilt the rear fenders. I needed the Bulldog hood ornament and my friends Psychographic and towman1271 came thru. Thanks guys!! Although its not a true Mack I still needed the Bulldog for the grill. I will post the bubbletop car for the truck on a different thread. I am hoping to get it finished for NNL East. Thanks for looking and I hope you like it so far. Nosferaru

Hi, I’m Dave from Hunterdon County, NJ and I’ve been building models for 45 years. I love showrods, delivery vans, trucks and motorcycles, but mainly I love cutting up plastic and creating my own builds, especially bubbletops. I am a huge Ed “Big Daddy” Roth fan. I love “off the wall” & “outside the box” builds. I’ve lurked thru this site and see some incredible talent. I will post some of my builds soon. Nosferatu
