After a few reprints of body panels ,I'm back on a roll. I wanted a different color, I haven't decided on a stripe color just yet. Red seems to be the current choice.

Back from vacation and now time to get this done for a local contest. Started decaling the nose. Decals are really thin and lay down very well. I was nervous about the silver nose wrap. It has a tiny wrinkle in it. All the carbon is Scale Motorsports .

I know. ...but at lease you get a bit more detail than the resin kits. Hobbyeasy.com is the best place to get there stuff. The prices are very good

Use this stuff... It works awesome. Will not hurt the plastic if you follow the instructions. You have to soak it for 10 min , then scrub it lighty with an old toothbrush. Then wash and let dry. I wash mine with Dawn dish soap. I have used it on month old cured paint. Came right off

It is not really advertised. I got mine from Only Race cars. Spot Model has them as well. The same kit is released as Sato's car. The steering wheel is different.

I need a break from my other two projects, as I just wanted to do a quick build to finish something for a contest. This kit is the Model Factory Hiro kit. The kit is 20th scale and has about 70 pcs. There is more decals than parts. The body has been painted with Tamiya TS-56 brilliant orange. This looks really close to the color of the real car and Indycals recommend using it. The wings and suspension are all cast metal as with the wheels. Tires are pad printed with the correct markings. The body is missing a few details and I fill that the filler door is a bit large. The carbon decals are 1/24th Scale Motorsports. I'm using 24th as I don't want the pattern too be to big looking.

I got mine from Mega Hobby. $38 and change shipped.

All the wires and tubes are not included. I am using some of the Hobby Design trans kit.( HD02-0343) that kit gives you just the orange wires. Most of the wire is Scale Motorsports or Detail Master. So just came from the bottom of my parts box.

I finally had some time too get this back out and start working on it again. I can't wait to get this one finished. I need to strip and repaint the nose of the car. AAAHHH!!! But here are a few pics of the car.

The Profil 24 is not bad.. I have the kit . Not a big fan of how the roof goes on. Leaves a seam that you have to fill after you paint it. I like the way the Hiro kit has the separate rear fenders. Makes painting a breeze.

If it's anything like the C7R .., I'll pass on it. The Hiro kit in 24th and 12th are the best on the market. Though it is nice that there doing a modern race car.

Sorry too hear you had a problem dealing with him. I've been dealing with him for about 5 yrs now. Near had any issues with him or anything I've gotten from them. Do you have any pics of that trans kit?

It is a great kit in either scale.

With parts drying on my FordGT ,I went back to work on the Fxx-k. The rear wheel wells have been added and sprayed with a flat coat. I put some extra decals on the outer edge of the wells because the back will be displayed open and it would show just a plan edge. Some wiring has been added and the lower tray has the heat shield on it. With the seats I wanted to try something different. The plain black carbon seat wasn't what I was looking for. I used plamoz velvet paper sticker. Super thin and has a good feel to it. The small seam will be covered by the belts. The seat were covered with carbon .
