  1. Thank you very much. This is one of there earlier kits. I feel like the is detail missing that should be there for a kit of this caliber. Ordered hose clamps and engine brackets from Detail Master. It was like Christmas morning when I saw the package in the mailbox. See photo three of four clamps are done.
  2. Off to a good start...I have the other two kits.
  3. Lol....thing does have some weight to it.
  4. Love the interior work . Off to a great start.
  5. Windshield frame and roll bar fitted. About twenty holes to drill in the body for the snaps.
  6. A quick mock up of the motor in the frame. I was checking the location of the shocks as well.
  7. Thank you very much. That gives me a starting point.
  8. Afx ...do you have any pictures of the front of the motor? The mfh kit didn't come with and alternator bracket. Trying to make one out of something. Thanks for the help.
  9. There well worth the money. I have used them in a Dermel as well.
  10. Try Testors metalizer spray. They make aluminum color when it is dry you can buff it up to a shine with a q- tip .
  11. Way cool. Great job with building this kit. Well done.
  12. Found these on amazon. 15.00 . Well worth it. They have a bigger shank. Works fantastic in the Tamiya pinvise. There labeled CNC engraving bits
  13. That looks really good !!! One kit that I want to build. Great job.
  14. All comments are welcome. Mfh does make a 427 kit. I bought the kit for 200 about 2 years ago. It could have a bit more detail. I just hate drilling all the holes. You have to test fit everything.
  15. Have some time tonight to get a bit more of the motor done. Had to file each side of the bottom of the carbs to get them to sit flat. Every hole in this kit needs to be drilled open. I was able to get the main frame painted in semi gloss black. The motor mounts are the parts in the clips.
  16. I have built a few of them. This one is really delicate. I have fixed the rear of the chassis at least three times now. The white metal is really thin. If you have any suspension detail photos that would help. Many thanks in advance .
  17. That looks really good ... Thanks for sharing the thread.. I got the frame painted and the engine started today. Will post pictures tomorrow .
  18. Thanks for the help. I will check those out. I would love to see the pics of FIA conversion.
  19. Really cool.... How did that build? I was thinking about getting one.
  20. Time to start a new project. This is the Model Factory Hiro kit of the FIA Cobra. The kit has a resin body and interior with all the remaining parts in white metal or photo etch. I used a magnetic tumbler to clean and the flash off of the parts . After a quick wash they come out like you see in the photos. The whole kit took about 45 mins to do. It beats sanding !!! Every mounting hole on the kit needs to be drilled open. It's good to have a few pinvises around to put different size bits in them. The main part of the chassis is assembled and ready for paint. The motor has been painted and is drying. I'm looking for help with how to post update photos as I go along.
  21. Thanks for the kind words everyone. It was a fun build and probably one of the best Revell kits that I've built. Went together really well.
  22. I was joining resin to resin. I like the zap products or Arron Alpha. Arron Alpha is the best for super glue. Will not come a part.
  23. I build a lot of resin and white metal kits. This stuff does not work well.
