Get the Tamiya sets and try it out. You can always wipe the stuff off. I’ll look at your Enzo. Love that car. I built one I’ll see if I can find the pictures.

I use the Tamiya weathering kits. I start with burnt blue and then some burnt red. I some times use a dry brush of clear red. After that step I use the soot mixed with the rust in the weathering kit. The rust with the black gives it a “ worn tone “ that’s not as harsh as just black. In the new photos the skid plates have been added. On the front plate I’ve added some silver tone scrapes. These would be from rocks or from running the corner short. These were done with a tiny blob of almost dry silver. Then I used a sharpened tooth pick to pull the paint. Then mixed a bit of soot into it. By the way I use Titanium silver for my exhaust base color. It’s a little softer looking than a bright aluminum.

I started working on the snow/ gravel wheel . It seems that this car has run with a few different combinations. These are the ones that I’m using. They just have to be printed.

Thanks Dann

Thank you. ... I see they have have 5he drivers as well... studded snows???

The heat shield is the MFH stuff. It’s a bit thinner. Who makes those wheels?
-
The suspension has been added and a bit more weathering has been done. I’m gonna add some snow effect to it as well. Just painted the skid plates waiting for them to dry.

Got the chassis primed and painted. I did some post weathering on the chassis as well as added some heat shielding from MFH. Working on the exhaust with some heat staining.

That’s what I thought as well. It’s some kinda disc to keep snow and mud out of the wheel
-
Yes ...they are hidden under the photoeteched. The kit decals have the cut outs for them. Pretty good idea.

Thanks everyone....the kit is good ,a little flash here and there. I’m trying to see if anyone on the secondary market makes the solid style wheel for the car. It the wheel that seems to be run in the snow at Monte Carlo.

I just received this in the mall the other day and needed a break from the Cobra. Nice kit but you need the detail kit to go with it. All the screens are done very nice. If I had a complaint the chassis and interior are molded in black. In the real car they are white. Still one of my favorite rally cars. I started with the cage and the basic running gear.

Try mikes decals. He makes a sheet for modern day sports car tires and rims. If I remember it is around 5 bucks or less -

I fixed the shift lever ...hole has been filled and a repaint of Matt black . Might be hard to see in the picture but the foot wells have been weathered with some NATO Black. It gives it a bit of a worn look. I plan to do this car as posted raced with a bit of weathering. I saw one when I was at a Pebble Beach this way.

Thanks Dan
