Glad to see you building this again. Looks wonderful. Great job. The black paint looks great.

The rear spoiler has been mounted and the wheels have been added. The spoiler has been covered in Tamiya's new extra fine carbon . This is some of the best carbon fiber decals out there. For the wheels I mounted them by making new mounting points from pins and plastic tube. It got the car down to a good tide height.

They are the kit hoses with aluminum foil wrapped around them. Just the basic kitchen kind. I just cut a strip about a half inch wide and rolled it around it working it into the detail. The nice thing is you just pull it off if you don't like the way it goes on.

This is the first Nascar car kit that I've built in 20+ years. The car started as a $5.00 batman snap together kit. The decals came from Mikes decals and some help from Mike to find a second set. I can't give him enough thanks. All the decals are by Powerslide. The interior has been detailed a bit. Scale Motorsports belts and there wiring. The wheels I cut out the wheel back so the brakes can be seen though the rims. This was done as a break from my MFH build. The wheels and spoiler have been added. The spoiler has been covered with Tamiya extra fine carbon. Some of the best carbon fiber decals out there now. I mounted the wheels by creating new mounting points with pins and plastic tube. Just a few more details and it is done.

Working away. Working on the leaf springs. They are separate pcs. For each leaf. Finished the truck in the meantime for a break . -
Thank you for the pictures. That was what I came up with from a few other pictures that I found. I just can't see how the lower bracket mounts.
-
You may have to shave down where it mounts . Mine is high and uneven.

Just a update photo. The cap has been drilled out. The hose clamps and shocks have been added. The bracket and some of the alternator parts have been added. Everything is made out of metal. I may have to reinforce the shelf when done.

Weathered race cars look great. I found that the Tamiya kits work vey well.
