Great present ... I started the carbon on the intake. Probably one of the hardest parts I’ve done. Each side is made of 10 parts

Kids a sleep time to build . I was able to get some more of the carbon work done in the interior. I know it’s not the same as the carbon edition, but I thought it fit the car well. Seat inserts and dash accent are sprayed French Blue. The seat inserts were then hit with semi gloss to bring the shine down some.

There new stuff is great. Hard to find sometimes. It has a very fine texture. Works great with their setting solution or micro sol. It has a more modern look and it drys with a nice sheen to it.

Had some time to build the last two days . The carbon lower body panels have been put on . The rear diffuser is all carbon as is the nose. Still working on the interior. The color is NATO Black, the seats are semi gloss black. Body color and carbon will be used as well

Looks really good

I can’t wait to see it

That’s is awesome all the way around. Well done.

I started the carbon work on the rear diffuser. I one side all the way across and then the other side followed by the flats . This way I can cut the veins longer and hide the seams. Again I’m using Tamiya carbon. The tape is the template.

That looks really good. Love the color

Started the carbon decal work. The car comes with either a gloss or flat carbon. I haven’t decided yet on a finish. I used the Tamiya carbon extra fine weave. I like this stuff it has a good shine to it. Plus the weave is a little more modern than the Scale Motorsports stuff.

Started building the chassis. The location pins are very small and hidden just about. Suspension is simple, yet it works.

Wanted to share the headlights in this kit. Each light is made of 8pcs and 3decals. The engraved lines are on the money from the pictures that I’ve seen.

I’m going blue , don’t know what shade yet. Probably a silver stripe.
-
The vents on the sides are for the radiators in the rear. If you watch some videos you will see them though the screens covering them. The wheel well thing drives me crazy as well.

With my Audi drying,I decided to start this in the meantime. This great kit showed up yesterday. The body is made of a few parts. I’m trying to do the main body with as many panels before painting it. It’s about 8pcs to do the body. Don’t know on a color yet. Leaning in the blue direction or a retro paint sceam.

Back to work on the Audi the paint masked showed up ( Hiroboy) they worked really well. A must to paint the windows. Body has been put on the chassis, but wait a huge problem... body is way wider than the Chassis and creates a big hole. In the wheel wells. If the car had holes like these it would be full of snow and gravel. I’m fixing it by using left over tin from a printing plate. The perks of being a printer. Super thin metal. If the photos you can see the progress.

Looks good Jay... The NATO black by Tamiya is a good flat color to work with as well. Used it on a flat based Mercedes.

I started to work on the glass of the kit and I find it a bit disappointing. There are a ton of pins on the glass and it is a bit thick. No window masks are in the kit?? The frame has a very light engraved frame. Buy some aftermarket masks . I ordered mine from Hiroboy. They give you some photo etched hold downs in the detail kit, but they are molded into the kit glass and would require them being cut off and sanded. I just painted mine. I was afraid of breaking the glass. Started working on the front of the car. I smashed the side marker light and put in a few pieces of it. I want it to look damaged from hitting something along the stage. More to come soon.

Thank you. More to come soon.
