  1. Wow! Really nice especially from the rear of the doors to the end. The fender skirts, slotted taillights, and frenched plate are just perfect. I like the amount of chop just not sure about moving the front edge of the roof back, it looks good from the front angle though, it will be really interesting to see finished. Please don’t take this as a criticism of what you did it is far better than I could and a great start
  2. When I was dealing in rare collectible items we used to use the rule that an item was worth the third place bid a similar item sold for on eBay might help in pricing old rare kits
  3. Looks real something often strived and not often achieved stunning job
  4. 1930 Duesenberg Model J Club Faux Cabriolet Letourneur et Marchand owned by Prince Nicolas of Romania in white this time they made two or perhaps three Really I wanted to test using imgur for pics
  5. I’d love to see someone do one. Notice the door handle in the middle that’s because inside there were handles on each end the door hinges in the front for getting in the back seats and the back for getting in the front
  6. Does it dry?
  7. So I thinned it 50% with lacquer thinner and brushed it on a spare piece of sprue. This is Revlon "Bubbly" a smooth bright pink color Any tips to improve the finish? Would a clear coat help? The piece is shown on a US Nickel for size scale
  8. I am sure this has been but what is your favorite car either that you owned or would like to own? Mine is this sadly lost Duesenberg Model J two-door "faux cabriolet", bodywork by Letourneur & Marchand
  9. I think if you can set the radiator deeper into the grill shell you will pick up quite a bit
  10. Made a flat rear bumper from brass sheet then disaster struck the rear wheel rim popped loose. I am going to try to finagle it in better
  11. Side mounts could work - here are some on a 1938 Caddy coupe Sorry if I am interfering with what you are doing by commenting? Don't want to make any waves
  12. Not sure if there’s room for fender mounted spares would need to see more of a side shot maybe if they were deeply inset? but the design is worth working through so much of it works already
  13. Really good looks like a bunch of cars I remember i expect one of my friends to pull up in it so we can go cruising
  14. Did this progress any further? I like where it is going
  15. And here's mine in progress still a load of work to do but it is on wheels
  16. Just to show what can be done with these little kits by someone that knows what they are doing the salt flats racer and the flat track racer are by a person in France I think and the bobber by someone in Sweeden
  17. Probably a idiotic question but does it matter when you thin paint? In other words does paint thinned 5 minutes before use act the same as paint thinned 5 days before use or is one or the other better for any reason? I am using nail polish with lacquer thinner
  18. I went with a Revlon color called Copper Penny. Still working on getting the thinning mix correct for brush painting but it looks very sparkly in person

  20. Brings back memories yours looks a lot nicer than mine did
  21. Wow! Like the coupe also
  22. Yes agreed not that my skill is good enough to offer something for sale. But if selling one finished kit buys you five or ten more unfinished ones or that rare kit you just couldn’t justify spending the money on why not?
  23. I never noticed on TV but it looks like an old fashioned doorknob up top you did really good with it I can just hear "Danger Will Robinson" when i look at the pictures
