Decals came from modeltruckin.com (stripes and fuel decals). I had some trouble with color bleed with this batch, but they usually work great. Oh well, my builds are never perfect. The door decals came from a supplier on Ebay.

I used to work on that very truck. It had been passed down through a family since it was new. The window regulator was gone out of the drivers door and a 4x4 block held up the window. I don't know how, but you captured that truck perfectly. Great work!!!

Your builds are Excellent!! Thanks for the tip on the windows. I used a somewhat similar technique on my Bighorn.

I'm very interested in seeing your work on the valve covers. I have a resin 6v-92T myself, but it has 71 style valve covers. I was hoping to rework them. Since you're crossing this bridge first, maybe I can pick up some pointers from you. As far as your build, here in North Carolina, when the old 8.2 Diesel died it often got replaced by something different.The 6v-92 would be a logical choice for a road tractor. I personally think that your project is spot on!

I really like this project. I worked at a service station similar to this for many, many years. I think your capturing the look well so far. The finishing touch would a couple of old men out front on a bench drinking bottled Cokes, or maybe RC Cola (we always had hang-arounds).... Great work!

Thanks Jacobus! I know there were a few variations. The set up that I'm looking for has the filter assembly mounted under the cab at the rear, and the intake pipe is rectangle in shape instead of round and mounted to the cab at left rear. I'm attempting to build a model of the first truck that I ever rode in, but only from memory. Thanks again!!! Brian.

Excellent!!! One of my favorite trucks. I remember seeing them on the highway a lot. Even done a little work on one with a 6-71. I hope to build a model like this myself one day.

Great looking Blue Mule! Spaulding Trading and Shipping used to sell a cab just like Sean's about 16 years ago about the time they sold the White 7000 cab, the cabover Dodge cab, and the Freightliner Powerliner cab, not sure who their supplier was, though I believe it was Hendrix. I had one of each. Built the Ford, and gave it away, and sold the other two. Live and learn. There have been a couple of the Fords on Ebay recently that look like the one that I had. I hoped to get one, and another White 7000 cab of that version, but they sell pretty high. The other version has been on Ebay a lot recently as well.
