  1. Stick them in the freezer overnite. If that doesn't work try De-Solv glue remover.
  2. # 2600 is the 1965, you do know there were more 1/8 Corvettes.
  3. VERY nice build and it brings back some memories. I learned "Cat Skinning" on an old cable operated D-8 also. It had a hand cranked, gas fired pony motor for a starter. You fired the pony motor and after it warmed up you threw the lever to engage the diesel engine. If you didn't break your arm cranking the pony motor you were having a great day. heh heh heh.
  4. Thanks for the info Bill. I learn something new everyday.
  5. You never cease to amaze me with your work Bill. How in the world did you get the texture on the brake pads ?
  6. I needed a little change of pace and I had this Pete sitting on the shelf so ... It's little more than a snap tite but I'm gonna add some details and weather it as a working truck. I taped off the bumper and dull coated the grill then blacked out the radiator. Frame got semi gloss black but fuel tanks and fenders will be gloss black. I also dull coated the cat walk and flat blacked the quarter fenders. You know it's gotta be red !!! It's been raining here for four days so no clear coat but I just had to see a mock up. More to come when the weather cooperates. Thanks for looking. .
  7. Yes, it has been posted on LSM before. There are only three that exist and I'm very lucky to have one. PS, the wheelbase length on a 1/1 Mercury is 118 inches (center in pic) the wheelbase length on a 1/1 Deuce is 106 inches (left in pic) the wheelbase length on a 1/1 Firebird is 108.2 inches (right in pic) the wheelbase length on a 1/1 57 Chevy is 115 inches (far right in pic) So the Merc is very close to scale. .
  8. Supposed to be 1/8. I've never taken measurements from a real one and verified it.
  9. 1966 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa. [the basic body of the '67 Camaro]
  10. Got any pics of your display area Don ? I'd LOVE to see it !!!!! Heres mine ... these are ALL 1/8 scale ... ... except the top row, there 1/25 ... .
  11. I like the car Chuck but I think you should ditch the wheels and go with steelies and caps. Also it needs some sun visors flipped up for the Malibu Beach look. IMHO !!!!
  12. ][/ Cool horn, which kit is it from, AMT '66 Mustang, JoHan, or Monogram bits.
  13. Completely different, completely kool, I like it !!!!!

  15. If my guess is correct, they are ground straps. Guess I'm telling my age just knowing that. Ooops, almost forgot, VERY nice build. I love 59's.
  16. You can thank the head honchos at Harley Davidson for all the copyright infringement broohaha. When Willie G and his crew started copyrighting everything from ape hangers to the sound a Harley makes and sueing anybody who even had a bar & shield in their advertisements without permission, everybody looked around and said "hey, if they can make money like that, so can we". Next thing ya know the model companies are getting nailed with fees to use a brand name on any piece in their kits. I'm not saying it's OK to copy anything without the owners permission but having to pay a users fee is getting a bit ridiculous.
  17. Very cool !!!! Is that Elwood Pretzel on the tire cover ?
  18. That's just neat !!!!! I like how you did the name too.
  19. Just copied what was on Tower Hobbies page. T-900 maybe ?
  20. It's the K-900 and price is $106.99 plus shipping. (retail $132.50) http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXZRE4&P=W
  21. ... another little update ... ... dash with guages & radio ... ... drilled radius rods ... ... drilled front axle ... ... and ya gotta have a horn ... .
  22. I've been checking my mail box every day Ralph. As soon as one gets here it will definately be installed.
  23. Sad news, he's closing the doors permanently in Sept. He says just not enough business to keep it going. He turns 65 and will be getting his SSI so he and his better half want to do some traveling. I'm sure gonna miss him and the store. PS, Harry, I always did like older women !!!! .
  24. ... made a manual crank windshield wiper ... ... cowl steering ... ... fuel tank ... .. and a second mockup with a vertible roof. (maybe, maybe not) Stay tuned, more to come. .
