I'd forgotten about those new Vette's, Chuck. Thanks for reminding me about them.

Organizing Aftermarket parts

I like Those but Now that I have a Rottweiler, she just eats too much for those to work any more. -
Boy, Marcos, you brought Teh Shiny for this build. Outstanding Finish, and surgically clean build! Good Show.

I love the 'Googie' style. There are even a few building left here in Bakersfield in that style.

Auto Union Type 52 recreation
stavanzer replied to Richard Bartrop's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Gorgeous! Simply One of the neatest things I've ever seen. -
Mine Carried some of the Tanks and Airplanes, but since they cut the kit section in half, there is no more Atlantis kits. It used to be 3/4 of an aisle, and now it is less half. Not sure why our H.L. has such a different Plan-o-Gram than the others I see here.

Not a whole lot of difference between a CJ2A and a CJ3A, really. The windshield of course and other smaller details, but Jeeps stayed mostly the same for a long time. The CJ3B it a much different animal visually, so if that is what you want there is some scratch building in your future. I suspect that a Japanese company may have produced a CJ3B years ago, but it will be rare now and hard to find. You might look an this thread. But, I think the is an M38B not an M38A https://www.scalemates.com/kits/mpc-1-1210-250-jeep-cj-5--989876 But it may be more M38A (rounded) than you want. Some More Info on CJ3's at this site. https://cj3a.info/cj3a/farmjeep/fj.html Lastly the Italeri 1/24 Jeep is a Willys MB or GPW, so that won't work for you. I hope this Helps.

That is perfection. I would have never thought to question you about it being a Phantom. I just assumed it was a kit of a factory stock car. Great Work!

Well, if you are new to the Hobby, by definition all those kits are new to you....,, But, I hear you. But, the model companies are doing new kits. Round2 has given us at least three in the last 6 months. The 1960 & 1963 Ford Pickups, and the 1964 Chevy Malibu Chevelle. Plus the earlier pair of 1963 Chevrolet Station wagons. Atlantis and Moebius drop new kits, but much more slowly than Round2, and since not many of those kits make it to Hobby Lobby, you have to be more plugged in to be aware of them. As for re-issues, I hear you. But Some kits just sell well. Round2 is not going to leave money on the table. That 1953 Ford Pickup must sell really well to justify leaving it in production all the time But, even if you and I don't need another copy, somebody new to the hobby might.

ICM Model A and Monogram As build comparison
stavanzer replied to stitchdup's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Fair Enough. It is just my tastes, but the ICM looks overdone. I like the engraved Detail, but the 4 part starter is emblematic of the Laser Scan, 3D Print print ethos. The kit looks almost Rococo in it's design, but then they go and make frankly stupid choices that betray their Military Model roots. Who designs kits of cars with a separate Radiator and Shell, as one piece anymore? Especially since the two parts are always different colours. It is a worse issue on the Brass Era Model T Fords, but Still dumb here too. Keep up the Good Work though, Les. I enjoy seeing the parts compared. -
Your Boss Isn't Named Daryl Drummond, is he? I worked for Daryl in the 1990's. He was a tuner for Mazda Rotaries. He Had a dyno and Test Stand, and we'd get crates dropped off at the shop, so he could tune them. I got to see a 4 Rotor Wankel run, once.

I agree with you, Harry. H.L. seldom has anything that I don't already have. I had to go Online to get my '60 & '63 Fords, and my Revell '30 Coupe.

Forum website has been sluggish for the last few days
stavanzer replied to peteski's topic in How To Use This Board
Really, Really slow tonight. I have no idea why. -
I use the Gallon Ziplock Bags to store assorted parts in my stash. Bodies, and other large parts all go in them. I also have lots of Chrome trees, and those go the gallon bags too. I use the smaller sandwich size baggies for smaller parts, engines, wheels and tires, ect. Then the Bags go into Banker's Boxes.

model kit production question
stavanzer replied to jphillips1970's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I'll guess that for Round2 & Moebius (at least) they have several means of finding out what folks want. Comments to Chad's Monthly Update Videos (for Round2 only), Email feedback to the Company, the very rare written letter, in person comments at the Shows where they have booths set up, and then I am sure some body at both places monitors both this board and the Spotlight Hobbies board, to see what Is Being said. If you want to be heard, these are some of the ways you can do it. -
But, to me, the Javelin Looks more Muscular, and Purposeful. I like it better, especially from the front.

Did Lada copy the Mazda Cosmo for the front end> Look at the Lada 2107. That Grille sure reminds me of the Mazda.
