Thank You, Very Much, Matt. Right now, I don't own an Airbrush, so I am stuck with Rattle Cans or Brush Paints (Ugh). Good knowing that I can use Black on the interior. I'll stick with a couple of shades to give it interest.

Yeah, they are both originally ERTL kits from the 1970's. Both kits are almost exactly the same except the Body, Interior Tub, wheels and brush guard. I like them, despite the trashing they get for the shape issues with the grille and hood.

Boy, isn't that the truth! I had the Mod Rod back in the '70's. Those Ala Kart fenders made for a great Street Rod. Just like the second Box Art with the Black Car shown in Steve Milberry's post.

Is that a "Longmire" Pickup Truck? I'd like to see that finished. I've got a Monogram 1980 Bronco, and a set of Best Resins custom Lic Plates for a "Longmire" inspired Bronco Build. I really Like the "Car 54" too.

And, as is typical of Monogram T.D. kits the Flattie has very few parts, (6 or 8 )but all are heavily engraved for lots of visible surface detail. It is a nice, easy to build kit.

I wish it said 1956 on the box someplace.

I bought them over 20 years ago, when I had both Money and Time. I was working 12 hour Graveyard shifts, 7pm to 8am. I made lot's of O.T., and the pay was very good. I had access and permission to surf the web at work, as long as I always answered the phone! Between my wife and I we'd spend between $800.00 to $1200.00 a month on eBay items. I spent the nights haunting eBay for deals, and bought multiples of Model T Ford Kits. I still have most of them. I wish Round2 could conjure up the Parts for this kit. It is the same base kit as the '27 Police Touring car from a few years ago, so I know the base kit is still viable.

What great Photos at that first link! You could Scratch Build one of these and have a fine time. Since they are not "Real" brands, but Park Vehicles, you could have some fun with them.

I'd start on the 'Bay, and then start searching for European Decal companies that would be most likely to offer them. Round2 has been on a bit of a Dry Spell for me, lately. But, I've got the New Ford Pickups to work on, the Boss Nova Wagon, the 79 Chevy Nova, and the '64 Dodge 330 still to purchase, and new stuff coming out from Round2. So it is not a bad time by any means to be building cars. After seeing all the Interest in '57 T-Birds over on the Build threads, I may even get one of those to see what I can do with it. I really like the Fastback top. So, just because, I'm not very interested in the latest new Kit Releases, doesn't mean that Round2 is somehow failing me. It just means that I have idiosyncratic tastes, and not every kit trips my trigger.

Tell us how you really feel, Mozzi. Don't hold back. I presume that is a '56 T-Bird, not the '57 that was just out? The Van will sell due to the Wild Decals. But, Full Size Vans are a sort of One & Done Build for most modelers, I suspect.

That is my Understanding as well. The 1970's Hot Rod Magazines refer to Resto-Rods quite often. Many in the photos, could be stock, except for the Rake, and Wire Wheels on the Big'n'Littles. All other mods are hidden.
