I agree, but He is stubborn. We will have to see.

Great Save of an elderly kit. I like your dedication to using parts from your junk boxes. The perserverance has paid off. I like the yellow, too. It looks right.

Very Nice. Got a real 1960's feel to it.

Chopped '32 Ford Tudor Sedan Highboy. The beginning!...

Sounds Like a Killer Build, Tim W. There are some really Neat Parts in teh Revell 29/30 Kits and the 32 Sedan/Coupe kits. -
Looking Great! As others have said, I liked it before, but it really has that "Rodder's Journal" feel to it now. Very Traditional, but very clean. I have the Beach Boys Kit and a couple of the Roadsters, with a plan to use the BB Rear end under the Roadster, and the Wire Wheels from one of the older Issues of the Roadster. My original Build plan was to use a Monogram 69(?) Mustang Engine with the optional Autolite "Cross Boss" Intake that is in the Mustang kit. But, I could never get the Ford Engine to fit. After Seeing your Blown Engine, I need to track down all the parts you used and try to replicate the Blown Engine you built. Mine will be hoodless, 'cause I'll ruin 4 hoods before I can get the cut out centered the way you did. The tips on lowering the suspension are great too. I'll be using them on my build. Thanks for sharing.

Fair Enough. Pick a 'Happy" colour. It is a Happy Car.

I'm new at this, but I want to try to learn how to post photos. I have a Samsung phone, that I take Pics with. How do I get the pics in the computer? Email them from the phone to the desktop? Or can I use a USB cable and transfer them from the Phone to to the Desktop? I want to figure this out, I'm tired of not being able to. Thanks, Alan -
Now, I just remembered why the Gunmetal Resonates with me. In the first couple of James Bond Novels, Ian Fleming always describes Bomd's Car as being Gunmetal in Colour. That's where my preference originates. You can ignore my ravings if you wish....

Very Sharp Conversion! Keep up the good Work.

Nicely Built! The Fire Department must be doing to Public Awareness Work. Good Show.

He is correct. All the 1930's "Turret Top" Fords, were done in two parts when in model Form. Draft angles on the tops made it necessary. Unless you look at 1/32 scale kits, the the body was done in left/right halves.

I really Like that "Springmist Green"! Too bad That's not available in a Rattlecan. Jim, The Gunmetal Gray body/Raven Black top, has a serious, no-nonsense look, that I really like. Even if it was hotter, it makes the car look 'hotter', too. That's my vote.

Very Sharp Build. I have the same kit, in my "To Build" pile. Thanks for the Heads-Up on the fit issues. -
Great Looking Build. I think the Colour is close enough. You did well with what you had. Good Show.

Those will be Killer on that Car! Model On!

Keith, I found a few reviews for you on the AMT A-20. (Italeri has the molds now). It is a 30 year old kit, but was well done at the time. Other than really weird Tires on the Main Wheels, it is a pretty decent kit. http://kits.kitreview.com/italeri2656reviewbg_1.htm http://kits.kitreview.com/a20greviewbg_1.htm https://modelingmadness.com/scott/allies/previews/amt-amtech/8644.htm https://modelingmadness.com/scott/allies/previews/amt-amtech/8895.htm https://modelingmadness.com/review/allies/cleaver/us/usaaf/bomber/tc20b.htm https://modelingmadness.com/review/allies/us/leduchavoc.htm https://modelingmadness.com/review/allies/us/stewarta20.htm I know this is rather a lot, but I tried to get a variety of reviews. I hope this helps.

I go with the Vintage Halibrands, but that just me. I did look up both sets on Jay's Ebay site. Both looks good. I think the Older Cars looks funny, with more modern wheels.
-
I like your choice of Motivation, Bob. Wheel Choice depends on what 'Era' you plan the car to be in. Iceman, VCG and Texas 3D all offer some dragster wheels, but most are modern and not too vintage. Good Luck

Very nice little Long Roof! As others have said, the Colours are perfect. Good Show.

What an Awesome Build! You really turned that kit into a Gem! Good Show.
