  1. Hood Fit can be dodgy. Make sure the body, hood and fenders all fit the way you want before painting. (Don't ask how I know this..) Kit is nice, but is old tooling, so some fits can be soft. The AMT '32,36, and 40 Ford Kits all use the same engine Mounting points, so you can swap in the xtra engine from any of these kits, if you do not want to use the Buick, that is in the kit. The '36 Has a Pontiac, the '32 Vicky/Touring has a Killer Ford 427, and the '32 Coupe has a 283 Small Block Chevy. And the '32 Roadster has a really neat Blown Hemi. You will like the kit. Have fun and make your dad proud.
  2. Looking Good, Justin. Snake is smiling down on you!
  3. HPI Guy did a build of this kit too, with all the 21st Century add-ons to the base kit you started with. (Decals, Extra Chrome parts, Printed Tires)
  4. Still looking very Nice.
  5. Looking Great, Bruce. You are fortunate to be able to build these.
  6. What a Great story, and what a great looking Daily Driver. I hope it is still bringing you much pleasure. As others have mentioned, the Grey/Red Colours are perfect for the car.
  7. You can add one more Yodel Kit. I've never seen it in person, but It Looks pretty neat. Even had a spoiler! https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/yodel/yodel-big-american-/
  8. Really Sharp Build! I like the Graphics.
  9. Very Nice! Keep at it!
  10. Closest you'll get to a 9N is the Heller kit.
  11. And another Build Video.
  12. Between these and the new Ford Wrecker Kit, Moebuis will be getting my Model Budget for the next couple months.
  13. And Here is the Build Video.
  14. I think the Stock-ish Paint job works against the Custom Parts on this build. HPI Guy does his usual decent job, but this needed a Monochrome Paint Job to pull off the Custom parts. The Resto-Rod look on this kit just looks confused.
  15. Man, I need that Wrecker. about 3 of them, in fact.
  16. Some of them have a Decent (but not great) Small Block Chevy, and most of them have some very Nice Rear Tires/Wheels. Nice Decals too. If you buy a couple, the Front Wheels will work for Drag racers.
  17. Tricky Question, as most small drills spin so fast that they will melt, rather than cut plastic. Variable speed Dremel seems to be the way many folks do it. I use hand drills.
  18. Round2 would do well to start the Falcon revival with the '64 Falcon kit. It looks to cover all the bases with Rally, Stock and a mild custom. Of Course it is missing the later Gasser Front Axle Parts, but those might be able to be included. https://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/1330/1964-ford-falcon-sprint-hardtop To my Eyes, the '68/69 Falcon looks like a completely different kit, but I am no expert on Fords. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/automotive-cars--pi/ford/1961-1970/amt-1969-ford-falcon/jojo0310.html https://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/1253/amt-1968-ford-falcon
  19. The Wheels & Tires, the Matching Steering Wheel, the Hood "Eye" vent fillers and the Grille are all bad, really. The Only Custom part I really like is the Front Bumper with the built in driving lights. As I said the 1960 Pick Up kit is great, but I remember piles of these at Big Lots and K-Mart the first time this custom came out. So, while I applaud the Gorgeous Box Art, the kit contents are still not great.
  20. Wow! What a piece of work. This is a real Model, not Shake-and-Bake. Can't wait to see how it looks when finished. Alan

Sure Looks Sharp. You just don't see Tri-Tone paint very often. Good Show!
  22. Veery Nice Build! The Dark Maroon is a great choice. Good Show.
  23. The Colour really makes it "Pop"! You nailed the 1970's Beach Vibe! Good Show.
