  1. I just bought a can of Testors Extreme Lacquer in a Teal Colour on clearance at JoAnn's. I found this thread, but it never answers my question. Do I need Primer under this, or can I paint bare plastic with it?
  2. Great Photo, Michael. It makes great wallpaper. Did You take it?
  3. Yes, I see this more and more, here in California. It's like people have forgotten how to drive. (or never learned.....)
  4. I'm sorry to hear about his health issues. I hope he heals soon. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Laser Sharp Build! I really like the colours you chose, and the de-chroming works well. The Fog Lights are an inspired touch, and the paint on the engine is very well done. The complete package works well. Good Show.
  6. I believe that is sound reasoning. Speaking only for myself, while I plan on getting all three kits, I cannot see myself ever wanting or needing to have more than one AWB car. The Sedans, however, I can see me wanting a couple of each. Especially if Moebius brings out a Four Door Police Version. Failing that, I'll be looking for the 3D printed four door that will eventually show up in the next few months. So, the timeline of Sales applies, at least to me.
  7. I've got the flatbox version out in the garage. Buiilds One of Two ways. Stock-ish and Custom.
  8. I want all three kits, but It will be sometime before I can get them. I like the AWB car, but see it being built with Injection. I'll probably have to kit-bash a blower. All of them look good.
  9. The Moebuis kits are renowned for Hood Warp/Fit Issues and troublesome Windscreen fit. NIcely Detailed kits, and I own a few, but I'd not recommend them for a first build. I'd advise the newly re-tooled AMT/Round2 1960/1963 Ford Trucks, the Evergreen AMT 1953 Ford Pickup, the AMT 1972 Chevrolet Pickup or Ramp Truck, or the Revell (ex-Monogram) 1/24 GMC/Chevolet Square Body Trucks. i think all of these have fewer assembly pitfalls, than the Moebuis kits. In the End, careful assembly of all the pickup kits currently on the market will result in an Acceptable Replica. However some may not "Fall Together", and will require some Modeling Skill to complete. (the Round2 {ex-MPC} Dodge Pickups, for example) However, by following the directions, and working carefully I have faith that you can finish a kit to your liking.
  10. The Lincoln would be my choice, under the circumstances. If you lived in an area without snow, I'd reverse it.
  11. Looks Great! Captures the Vibe of the Hurri, very nicely. Good Show.
  12. Man, I'm having Login & Page loading issues galore right now. I've Timeout prompts, just trying to go back a page. The Web-Bots are active right now....
  13. Good Questions, Jurg. I hope somebody here as some answers for you.
  14. Indeeed. Thos wheels are just wrong for that car.
  15. Better for you, maybe, but much of this thread, has revolved around the fact that many other modelers, are not you, and do not have the same skills or experiences you have or have had with Dupli-color, Rust-oleam, Krylon and other paints. I am glad for your advice and glad you get the results you get, but not everybody is you.... Or Donn Yost, or Ace....
  16. The Monogram has a taller opening on the hood scoop. To my eye, the Monogram kits looks better, and the headlight issue is non-existant, as I can't see it. But, I'd buy and build either kit.
  17. What kit should I be checking to find some of the Hub Caps that you want?
  18. I remember reading a contemporary account in an old Magazine of a 25 mile trip in 1912, that had 9 blowouts, and took 8 hours. So tires were very fragile in the 'Teens. One of the reasons many Brass Era cars carried two spares.
